Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

It is a great likeness of Daniel Craig. However the factory paint apps leave a lot to be desired but that's not an issue with all the uber talented painters here.

Echo Base Toys has it in stock for $80.00. The actual description for it is "Toy City/TTL WWII German Secret Police Gestapo".

Hope that helps.

Okay, thanks BottleRocket! I'll check it out there. :wave

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

You can check my Casino Royale Daniel Craig out if you click the customs thread link in my sig! It has the same headsculpt, painted by Greggo also.

Sorry Platty. Not sure how I missed your post. Your Casino Royale version is top notch. Very accurate!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

That looks great Keysta, I've decided to completely redo my Goldfinger Bond to make him more accurate after rewatching the movie last night. What I have now is close but not perfect.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I did have my repainted Bond in a tux. I recieved the grey TTL suit the other day and this is what it looks like for a representation of Bond from Golfinger.

Cheers.

Thanks Deckard for the compliment. It was Platty who inspired me to do a TTL/Feng Daniel Craig James Bond. I went back a few pages and you said that your suit is the clark kent suit why don't you get the TTL grey suit I love the way it looks on Tyler's Bond

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Not 1/6th related, but I recently received the Golden Gun Signature Edition replica from Factory Replicas. Top quality collectible too. Gonna post some pics when I get around to photographing it, but I'm impressed as hell. It's signed by Sir Roger Moore and Sir Christopher Lee. At the moment I have it displayed with my Sideshow 12" Scaramanga figure.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I had gotten Brosnan GoldenEye a couple of years ago but the floppy buck and craggly grey hands meant that he would be relegated to a drawer. I finally got around to switching out the body and it's like getting a whole new figure!

He's on a TTL 2.0 and it's great! The original body was truly horrible, especially the hand sculpts! And the paint job on the hands was so way off from the base body, I couldn't even consider rolling up the sleeves!

Now I've got my one and only proper Bond to represent the franchise. Brosnan and GoldenEye are my favorites, so this is perfect for me.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Looks great. Only thing you would need to take it to the next level is chop the neck off and put it on a body with sculpted neck.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

You're right, Reinhardt. That's a problem with the body--the overly exposed neck joint. It's a shame because otherwise the body's pretty good and a great alternative to a TrueType.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I'd love for a company or sculptor to bring out a Pierce Brosnan head, he's my favourite Bond joint with Daniel Craig. Would love to do a custom of him.

Mad Old Jim that looks really good buddy.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

:lol Actually, no! I was so turned off by the bad body/hands that I pretty much just put him away as soon as he came out of the box!

I looked through this thread to see if anyone else had a pic but he's too small in most of them.

I actually got a pretty good deal on him about 2 years ago for like $20. I figured, what the heck. But geez, those hands! And the loose buck! Like I said, he went straight to the drawer, waiting for a new body.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Here's a few pictures I took a few months ago of my SS Pierce Brosnan James Bond "Goldeneye" figure. Yeah, it's still got that Buck body. But also like Mad Old Jim I got him on the board here for about the same price he did. I got mine loose with most of his gear, along with the great Sean Connery James Bond, and "Miss" (ahem!) Galore from "Goldfinger". All from the same board member here! I'd like to someday get a better Hot Toys Truetype for it...

The picture's a little blurry...sorry.

Here he is next to my Sean Connery "Goldfinger" James Bond...

A close-up of Connery and Brosnan....with "Miss" :wink1: Galore behind them...

I'm happy with the Brosnan head sculpt, but I know he would look so much better with a TT body. I'll get one for him someday. I may even get a TT body for my Connery Bond too.
