The irony is that that tiny Craig head has a better likeness than the ZCWO, the brothers production, the Andy B, the Adam one etc. lol.

IMO at this junction asking the guys at Maximus to sculpt anothe Craig is just a crapshoot IMO their sculpts are far from flawless likenesses. Same thing goes to hoping someone like Art Figures will do a Craig, who have never had a likeness that is bang on (not to mention every single one of their heads looks like the same guy dressed up like different people) you'll just be getting another almost there not quite so great mayne better than some worse than others attempt.

If the community was to get together for a commission it should be done with strategy. Not hiring any old sculptor but one that is known to usually nail likenesses and produces heads that are up to the standard with the best 1/6 heads. Right now only Trevor Grove is seeming like an option to be honest. Even Rainman is a crapshoot at this point he's hit and miss with likenesses too.

There's so a dude who did a life size Craig head on the customs forum. It's hands down perfect one of the most eerie and amazing thigs I've ever seen, mayne there is some way to shrink it down and he is willing to try. Someone should post pictures I've only got my iPad around this weekend so i cant.

Other than that just hope that Enterbay or Hot Toys either makes a generic unlisenced one or that Craig stars in some stupid popcorn flick blockbuster nonsense and has be same haircut as James Bond so Hot Toys can waste their time with the lisence.

Thanks Neil. It's that jacket from the Depp Gangster figure. It's a bit short (on Jaws) but works. Bleach it and dye it with RIT pale blue.

Thinking on what Ray said about HT, well, wasn't Cowboys & Aliens just such a movie, ah well, it'll have to have some kind of cool robot in it to get their attention!

I guess, but, some of his heads have been on the large side. Check out this pic of his Mal Reynolds next to ImaresqD1's Craig:

See what I mean!? If he can do it the correct size then yeah, for sure he'd be a sound choice.

The only reason the Serenity heads were larger scale was because he was used to sculpting that size for Sideshow, as aparently they shrink a lot when casted at factories. His later sculpts like Miami killer or Marty Mcfly were perfect size.

I tried to make a comp of all the bad guys I've done over the last few months... I'll have to pull them all out for a real group shot, but in the meantime...

What a great line-up of classic bond villians! That is something you can really be proud of, congrats!

Trevor Grove is as hit or miss as any other sculptor who post work here. His work is very clean, but when it comes to capturing a likeness he can be as off as anyone else. He has a lot of fans on these boards so a sculpt from him would be welcome by most and praised weither it was an accurate portrait or not. I'm thinking at this point that people's opinions and expectations of what a Craig sculpt should look like are so varied that no one sculpt is going to satisfy everyone. As brilliant as that lifesize head is technically it still doesn't look 100% like Craig. My therapist says I should avoid discussions like this so I'm bowing out of the who's Craig is best conversation. As a long time Bond fan I will continue to check out this thread for Bond customs. Is anyone using the Bond girl Barbies that came out recently for customs?

It's the head from that Daniel Craig action figure from The Golden Compass (Lord Asriel) and the body is a Prof X. (I believe the gun's from GI Joe's Cover Girl).

Now I just need to find an Astin Martin that size.

Ah...Golden Compass. That's what I thought. I should've picked it up years ago...

I have the Prof X and a Dusty GI JOE head on him...which looks...almost nothing like Craig, but is a good temporary head for now.

I'll have to track down the GC figure again.

Here's the final SOLITAIRE in pose...

Actually managed to make a full deck of correct tarot cards with the proper (and strange) 007 backside. The knife idea is lifted from the poster -- I like my Solitaire a little dangerous.

I'm starting my Craig sculpt today and I feel lost. He really does look different in every picture, so coming up with a coherent set of references is really difficult. Silva's shrink is in process, but I'm sort of rethinking it. The head looks like maybe 5% too big to me (and that's my target shrinkage), but Bardem has a HUGE HEAD. So I don't know if I should actually be shrinking it. Ugh.

I bought two just for that reason (to make a Bond). My second one is still in the package and I'm just waiting on another good body (love a 3 3/4 in a tux).
