Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I finished my Dalton. :)

Here's his before and after. Well, sort of. The before picture already has him on his new body with his natchan tux.

And here's a clearer pic of his new paint up. It's my second try at 1/6th painting, so it's good progress.

EXCELLENT work on the hair!!! Great repaint too!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I think the body on the DID one is better. Looks more like Craig's frame to me.

ZCWO should be at my door soon!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Cheers rog! The likeness and figure overall look great there. Definite purchase for me. It screams skyfall bond and until bbkill releases his sculpt, if at all, this will do me!

Wow, that show should have been the "Unlicensed Toy Expo" ;) Hopefully we'll see that tux for sale on its own, whether parted out or as a proper retail sku from DID.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

DID aren't particularly known for carded gear, but, there are several etailers and retailers that do carry their stuff in abundance so availability shouldn't be a problem.

I guess it depends what you really want as to what you'll get. If you just want James Bond standing there then the DID will suit your needs. If, however, you want a photo real Daniel Craig standing there then, unless you have a lot of money and/or talent, you might have a long wait.

DID do say in those cabinets that the proper figures will be MUCH better. If they live up to that then we'll really see something!

We'll obviously need to see production versions of both the DID and BBKill to really make up our minds....

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Not only Craig sculpts, but dinner jackets /tuxedos. It was impossible to get any just a couple of months back, now you can pick from a few already available and more on the way.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The freedom to make our own choices and not be unfairly judged for them is also a good thing.

Had I not been subscribed to this thread though, I would probably have still been using Dirk Kluge!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Im so so so happy about all these tuxes. Seriously it was like being lost in the desert without a drink of water in sight for years... it was kind of ridiculous. Your options were only the bulky and cheap, ill fitting sideshow offerings.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I don't think the SSC tux is all that bad, I'm still using the Dr No Connery one for mine. That said though, I don't have anything else to compare it to. If the price was reasonable I could get a DID one I suppose.

Let's not forget that Ken has been known to rock a fancy sequin tux from time to time. :)
