Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

DarthNeil, I like your poker game setup. Are those pony beads you're using as chips? Looks great! I need to stop being lazy and get working on my collection - yours makes me jealous.

Thanks very much. Just simple beads for now. The cards are special as every player has one of the hands from the final hand played in Casino Royale. :)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Difficult to tell fully in those pics, the shoulders and the clothes look like they need a futz. It still shows promise.

I'd need to see another test print from BBKill.....

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

IMO, BBKill should not do another colored test print, since that rough finish has no bearing on the final product and will only confuse people. Final product will be cast from a mould made from the final print. And the final print needs to be sanded and refined after printing but before casting the mould. Test print should definitely be made for scale comparison though, but he hasn't mentioned in any of the threads if he's even going to make any adjustments, nor which (if any) body type/style he's using for size reference.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I know you know... ;) I'm glad to know he's still working on it and I don't mind not having it right now since I don't have the time to work on any customs at the moment, but I'd still love to see a little more action in his thread. One thing I'd absolutely love to know is if he might hook up with a painter to offer a fully finished product.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I don't mind not having it either as I'd like to compare it to the DID one and that won't be in hand till Sept.

With a little one to occupy him I can understand if he doesn't have much time to devote to heads.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I actually like the Simplz one. It's got a bit of an expression to it, which is nice.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I'd like to see the one in your avatar!

The Simplz one needs better in hand pics before I decide whether I want it or not.

He's still in progress. The clay I use discolors as I work and it gets hard to see what's going on, so I just primed it for the first time tonight. There's still a lot of cleanup and tweaking to do, then I need to shrink him about 10% before I sculpt his hair and fix up his neck.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I was talking to Charlie at KG Hobby on FB earlier and he said he'd do some comparison shots so we can see how big it really is.
