Yes. :lecture '9' was also pretty good. Neither are on the level of UP, though.

Around 7 or 8 or so (The Ultimate Cut or Director's Cut... the Theatrical version, while pretty good, wouldn't make my Top 10 for 2009).

See people, it is possible to be a fan but not a fanboy. :lol

In my opnion 9 was the best animated movie of 09. Movie is very underated, such and awesome movie imo.

:lol AVATAR Wins PETA's Proggy Award (I never even knew those kooks gave out a Film Award :rotfl):

James Cameron Takes Home PETA’s Proggy Award for Avatar
January 20th, 2010

With much success already accredited to its sci-fi name, Avatar has been cleaning up at every awards show, but this time James Cameron took home the PETA’s Proggy Award for Outstanding Feature Film.

After contributing to the inspiring message in Avatar, James was recognized for his progress and recognition of animal-friendly achievements around the world.

Avatar, which teaches the importance of the connection between nature and human life, will earn James a framed certificate and letter of recognition from PETA.

“We hope viewers will come away from Avatar with a new way of looking at the world around them and the way we treat our fellow earthlings. For helping animals with the positive message of this film, James Cameron is PETA’s ‘King of the World,’” PETA Senior Vice President Lisa Lange gushes about the film’s director.

Not only was the innovative flick praised for its outstanding special effects, but PETA did not fail to award the movie for its similar-to-real-life depiction of the Na’vi people, who are being forced off of their native land by a human corporation.

:lol That is awesome. So perfect.

Coraline was my fave animated film of the year. Just love the dark atmosphere, artwork, characters and animation.
Scared the crap out my gf's 7 year old though lol

9 was the biggest pile of ____ i've ever seen. No hyperbole here. I was so pumped for it. That thing sucked so hard.

Who's buddy?

But seriously, 9 was so horrible. It was so short, and pointless. With the most unsatisfying ending ever concieved. NOTHING HAPPENED! Everyone died! The end! Roll Credits minus Welcome Home.:banghead

Thread cleaned AGAIN.

If you guys are that desperate to talk like 12 year olds on the playground - please do it away from this forum.

I love Avatar. I love saying Avatar. I love all that which is blue. Mmmmmmm soooooo good! I wish I could live on Pandora and play in the flowers and other happy assorted flora. It is truely a wonderful place. If I could rate this movie I would give it a 100 out of 10. ;)

No laughing. Pandora is serious business. I will save their planet! I will! I will do what I must. I plan on throwing myself down a flight of stairs in hopes that I break my neck and become limp from the waist down. I will then tell my mom to get busy so I can have a brother. After I have a brother he must be killed. That way I can have his Avatar and then and only then I will roam the lands of Pandora in my underpants and swing from vines like tarzan. I will save the day no doubt.
