True Avatards are worse... because it only took them about 2-3 weeks to take the crown of lamest fanbase ever, surpassing some that have been around for nearly 40 years. It really is as incredible as the film's financial success itself.

I agree those are all pretty bad but are you sure the audience in the second to the last pic is watching Avatar?

Irish sure does have a hard-on against some of these Avatar fans. I guess we should all be glad Watchmen wasn't a huge smash, or we probably would've ended up with a lot more of this:

I think the most astonishing thing about the whole Avatar phenomenon is the speed with which a fanbase came into existence that could rival Trekkies, etc. Time will tell how long they stick with it--but even if we don't get a trilogy, Roger Ebert was correct in his prediction that we have seen the last SDCC without blue-painted geeks everywhere you look. This became a lifestyle in a number of weeks.

I wouldn't bother arguing with barbelith.
It's best to tolerate his opinion. The guy hates T2, so if you can't get him to like that, you have no chance with this.

As for Solidsnake (Ray), I love his passion for the film. He has not had a go at anybody who has disagreed with him, so I think people should give him the same courtesy

I LOVE Avatar. You hear me? Love Avatar. Saw it again today. Fourth Time.

Now. Dispite my love of Avatar, I had a ton of stuff I didnt like. The story isnt anything new. The film is extreamly cliche. It doesnt take any new twists or turns. The characters are fun...but not all that interesting.

But that's ok. Because it never was supposed to be some deep drama thing. It's a film made for everyone.

I get annoyed when people scream "AVATAR IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE EVER" because it's extreamly silly. If you believe that fine...but it doesnt make you look good.

The things you say make people mad because of how you say it. You're going bonkers over the movie. Making silly comments, and false accusations. (sp?meh) Such as calling me a hater...even though I love the movie.

Sorry I feel the need to DISCUSS the ____ing thing on a ____ing DISCUSSION forum.

Thats what we do. We discuss. How interesting of a discussion would it be if it was...
