Argh! I waited too long to see the Special Edition in theaters; appears to be gone - at least in my area.

Update: preordered this edition.

WOW. I never would have guessed James Cameron of all people would be the first to offer a "Director Approved Clean Flicks" version of his film. VERY interesting. I wonder if any other filmmakers will follow suit.

____ kids. I wish this movie had more cursing, and sex. :lolIn fact, they should have an alternate ending where the camera pans out, and shows what this whole thing actually is- 4 dudes running around chasing each other in a park while tripping on peyote...and then the camera pans back into the movie for the final battle.

So will it be like network TV edits where The Big Lebowski goes from: "this is what happens when you **** a stranger in the @$$!" to "this is what happens when you feed a stranger in the alps!"

Cause I will totally buy it if so.

I guess if your 15 but whatever :dunno

Here's my beef (yes I am a parent)

I think its great that he is doing a more family friendly version. It seems any movie that is made that targets kids has cussing, sex scenes and so on. If your going to market toys in conjunction with a movie, the movie should be made for kids to see. Transformers, Iron man or any marvel movie would fall into this category. I almost feel compelled to see a movie in advance to make sure its suitable. I don't know why they just don't do an "R" or "PG-13" version and then a toned down "PG" version. Kinda like how they do with music. That way both parties would be happy. If anything they could then be more adventurous with scenes in the "R" rated films. I think if anything it would generate more sales. For the most part it would just take a scene cut or two and take out most of the swearing.

The funny part is compared to transformers I thought avatar was tame.

I'm sure you were just joking around but ____ kids is an offensive and idiotic comment. Remember you were once one too. :nana:

I still find it funny that me saying "____ kids!" in a totally 100% non serious post would be considered offensive. :lol

CelticP IS a kid (literally, he's a teenager) praxitas so I wouldn't worry about it too much. He's probably just upset that his parents are only going to let him watch the PG version from now on. ;)
