That’s no exaggeration. I actually have expectations for a higher level of engineering solution than that and I understand that everyone may not have the same expectations. I realize it’s not an amalgam model, but I don’t want to unbox anything that looks like my couch after my mother in law stands up ;)

IMO, it’s a moot point anyway. But again, no disrespect to anyone intended.
Your mother-in-law wants to have a talk with you.

1) it is sometimes necessary to make alterations in the vehicle design to make up for some of the “movie magic”

2) Then you must realize how silly it sounds to propose a seat with a butt print as an engineering solution when one can simply reduce the seat cushion height.

3) No disrespect, but one might propose that until one actually places an order, they’re not a buyer - they’re a potential customer. Just because I might be thinking about going to med school doesn’t make me a doctor any more than thinking about buying makes one a buyer. It’s the deliberate act of making the commitment and following through that makes the difference.
Addressing point 1: My proposal IS such an alteration.
Point 2: Are you suggesting that instead of making a realistically compressed cushion, changing the actual specs of the seat is a better solution?
Point 3: "No disrespect, but" usually translates to "yes, disrespect, and". I don't think we need a gatekeeper or a lengthy analogy to define who is serious and who isn't. Which begs the question: If Joost likes my idea and decides to incorporate it, will you respond to him with the same dismissal as you did me? I doubt it.

This is the last post I’m going to make on this subject of your “solution”. I have no desire to continue keeping this subject alive.

As to your first point, it’s simply my opinion that having a butt-print of michael keaton forever memorized in hard plastic is not only cosmetically bad, but a poor engineering solution. I’ve tried to put that nicely, but for whatever reason, you just don’t seem to get it.

As to your second point, yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying. It’s already been done in the past for at least the 1966 batmobile and it looks fine. If you’re so concerned with “changing the actual specs”, I don’t understand why the installation of a completely foreign, non-spec object is even within your realm of possibilities. If, in your mind, specs are so pure and uncompromising, maybe you should turn your attention to the adjustments on the rear end of the dx09. There are two parts to the fitment equation here, and you’ve completely ignored that component. It would be really impressive to see you post a “how to” adjust the dx09 to fit. I imagine this could be done by altering the structure of the dx09 body, or providing a printing spec that provides for the “dummy pilot” that others have asked for.

As to your third point, you’ve turned what should have been the simple acceptance of criticism from one person on the internet into a situation where it’s an uphill battle to maintain a civil tone. When I say, “no disrespect intended”, that’s exactly what I mean. Quite frankly, if you’re going to publicly float an idea on the internet, it’s not always going to be well received. IMO, it’s incumbent upon the provider to accept the inevitable criticism with somewhat of a thick skin, and have the capacity to support their hypothesis with logic and facts, rather than going after the style of the critique. I expect that anyone in a technical profession has that experience and understands that.

Again, as I originally said, it’s admirable thst you posted a solution. And that’s all I’m going to say about this subject.

If this was good enough to be used in the actual movie in the Batwing, surely a Hot Toys head on a static black body is good enough to sit in our toy cars.

Unless there was a version made specifically to sit in the driver's seat (ala Iron Man in the HT Hulkbuster), I can't see myself ever wanting to shove a $300 figure inside the Batmobile anyway - far too much risk of damage. I'm perfectly happy finding a way to display him outside the vehicle.

BigWayne... I don't suppose you have any idea how arrogant you sound, as if it's only YOUR desire that will keep this subject alive; I'm sorry to inform you, it's not your decision. Then you said, "I've tried to put it nicely... but you just don't seem to get it." WOW- can you try to be a little MORE condescending and self-centered please?... I'm so sorry that my wild and free mind won't "get it". Newsflash: Your position is not the only valid or relevant one. I pushed back, and you don't like that. Anyway- if this truly is "all you're going to say about this subject", that's a relief.

Lets compromise, a spring-lock drivers chair, that actually lowers enough to fit the ears without compromising scale/proportions of either the figure, or the car, yet also actually helps make room to more easily slide the figure into place (for those who want that) .
Then naturally clicks back to normal position , for those who want no figure in the car, to showcase the cockpit open. :wink1:

That's a good idea too. And, with some minor adjustments, it could be made into an ejector seat! You could launch Batman into the air!

A buddy of mine suggested a plain black body with the cowl and nothing else might work as a sit piece. I might do this for both Batmobile and Batwing.
I am easily satisfied. I will put a Batman trading card in the driver's seat and a Robin trading card in the passenger seat and call it a day.

There are some 1/6 scale vinyl kits of Keaton Batman floating around, that could be adapted to make a stand-in (or maybe sit-in) figure to use in the car. A spare mouth piece could be used, if figure painting is not your thing.

In the JazzInc 1989 Batwing thread, in the video where Joost is providing updates on JazzInc's upcoming projects, there's what appears to be an updated pic in the top right hand corner of their 89 Batmobile.......:)

Thanks for sharing!! Yes it was very exciting, especially since it seemed we couldn't get that done for the longest time. Now we KNOW it'll be perfectly accurate

Hey JazzInc, in the pictures shown above here, the first one of the 89 Batmobile, at the front of it, the ''bullet'' shaped part of the engine is black, but in the movie, it's grey.I just want to ask, is the 89 Batmobile in the first picture a screen used car, or is it a replica, and will your 89 Batmobile have the grey ''bullet'' part of the engine, or will it be black?

When I see what you managed to deliver for the 66 Batmobile, working from scratch, with almost no access to the source material, with a 3D scan of the actual car for the 89, it’s just gonna be phenomenal…
Can’t wait!
