Jazzinc 1/6 Batman 1989 Batmobile

My Batmobile shipped on Dec 12th and the expected delivery date is scheduled for this Thursday, Dec 19th. Tracking # shows it arrived at my local FedEx last night though, so It would be a nice surprise if it's delivered ahead of schedule. Eitherway, it's almost here.

Update: a few mins after this post, I got a notification from FedEx that my batmobile is out for delivery today!

When did your order originally ship?

Car went sailing on November 26 and touched down in Cali on the 13th. About 2 1/2 week turn around by boat. Not too bad.

Other than looking shinier, I really don't see how this screams "better than HT!!!!!".

Quick unbox, will be setting up in the display over the weekend and taking proper photos, but overall I'm very impressed! The vehicle has alot of presence.

Only negatives for me personally would be the small diecast bat logos that need to be attached to the wheels with double sided tape doesn't feel too premium (the instructions however show that they should be magnets, which would have been much nicer) , and the cockpit canopy paintwork is not quite as reflective as the rest of the vehicle, though not at all distracting.

An incredible piece of art all round, extremely happy to have this in the collection.

I think my favourite part of all - the vehicles lighting is automatically turned on as soon as it's plugged in with power, no need to press 'On' with a remote like the 'The Batman' batmobile, meaning i can hook this up to my smart lighting system and trigger the lighting on without having a painful workaround of IR remote control triggers as with The Batman batmobile.

It's a very minor variation. Much like the mould injection indentations, they are there, but so minor i really had to look for them under specific light and angle. Absolutely nothing that detracts from an otherwise incredible piece.

Mine departed their facility on Nov. 25th and is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday (Dec. 18th). So just over 3 weeks for me, whereas IIRC Joost was forecasting 4 to 6 weeks.

Where are you guys finding your tracking information? Mine shipped out on 25th of November but I have yet to see any tracking numbers on anything. The plaque just randomly showed up at the door through FedEx last week.

yes it’s quite big… and super heavy.

BUT the box is way more narrower than the HT 2013 which was a nightmare to move.

You got yours ahead of Christmas - way to go! Just paid the shipping fees, so mine will be (probably) February. Good things come to those who wait....

Ok didn’t resist to open it just for inspection and try all the electronics.
It reminds me a little bit the old good times in 2013 with the HT one.
First, if you got back pains, forget, this monster is atrociously heavy.
When I remember all the folks who asked Joost to make the car die cast… it would have be crazy!
I will take the time tomorrow to really inspect the car and talk further about it but from what I see, it seems flawless and is just absolutely GORGEOUS!
Don’t listen all the haters.
It’s a completely new and different car compared to the HT.
A real museum piece.
