Ordered the Toys Era Comedian today. I see the writing on the wall with NOTHING being announced last week...

I miss when they would announce stuff the night a movie released in theaters. I remember coming home from seeing Man of Steel and seeing they announced Superman when I was out. It was a cool feeling - shame they don’t do it anymore.

Yeah just on random days during the week now, which is the first thing I do in the morning LOL

I just realized the most telling thing that a HT figure isn?t coming. Funko isn?t doing any Pops! They pop everything! :lol

Infinity only posted they had (or we presume) a license pretty recently. My speculation is that WB didn't grant anyone a license until recently so nothing would be on store shelves etc. to detract from the movie's seriousness. I think in the past Funko has said they can take an idea and get it to store shelves in like 2 months, so we'll see if anything comes up for preorder anytime soon. I still imagine this will get licensed but who knows to what extent.

2 months is an amazing turn around. Mattel said it often takes them 2 years on some toys!

The fact WB let this be R and forsook merchandise money off of an extremely popular character is really surprising for the company that thought they could fast track their version of the MCU to success. Probably wise given all the recent controversy and the last thing they’d want to do is recall a bunch of products. I haven’t even seen T-shirts! No Halloween costumes at this time of year is also surprising! I’m curious to see if Infinity is the first of several new products to come or one of the very few. To this day very little Ledger Nurse Joker stuff has been made so WB can certainly restrain themselves well.

The very simplistic nature of Pops lets a couple months happen. I went to SDCC this year to the Diamond Select panel and they gave a timeline of 9 months (the fastest pretty much) from initial conception to store shelves for their releases.

We'll see, it took HT several years to make a Pennywise. Hopefully by the time Joker comes out on blu ray or maybe it gets nominated for an Oscar in several categories, HT will show a prototype. Also, with the possible talks of a sequel, I could also see HT doing what they often do, which is make a figure from a sequel, rather than the original film (Sparrow and every character from POTC, Loki, Blade, Penny, Furry, Rocky etc.).

Maybe WB is waiting after the award season is over to push the merchandise out there. They want the film to maintain the arthouse image, which is difficult to do with a line of toys, shirts, and funko pops out there.

I think WB is waiting for all the idiots on twitter to calm down about how sad they are before they make merch. The media and some twitter users are pretty much waiting for any bad news they can find in this movie and make it a huge deal.

New regime. This time they playing it smart.

Question for those who have orders from TNS figures

When placing an order for two pre order items, if one item becomes available before the other , will they ship the available item or wait till both items are available to ship the whole order?

I would just make 2 separate orders. Everything ships free so it doesn't matter to order 2 preorder items in 1 order.

Seems like they made the colors darker on the poster and movie. Both the make up and suit.
