Well I know I was very critical of this set but once the invoice (2 pack) came through from Kit I thought I would at least get it and see it in hand myself.
The sculpts are great, I know there are better customs out there but for mass produced these are top notch, especially the full makeup sculpt.
I'm a huge fan of the new arms system, much better than the small magnet wrist joints like on Aragorn, Gandalf, Batman and Ledger Joker (purple suit). The seamless wrists are also really nice as that is something that puts me off buying some figures.
With my copies, I can hardly open the backs of the heads the magnets are so strong, which is a good and bad thing. Trying to open them to move the eyes had me almost pulling off some of the hair from the sculpt, I could see the glue starting to stretch a little and in the end had to use the end of some tweezers to pry it open.
I've not looked at the dioramas as I don't use them in my displays so I can't comment about them, but the red suit has 2 huge issues in my opinion.
The first being the yellow waistcoat, it is far too short. Looks like he is wearing a kids waistcoat so I will have to see if any custom ones are going to be made and swap it out.
The second is the lapels on the red jacket, for the life of me I can't get them to lay flat.
Tried water treatment, putting something of weight on top of them to push them down, removed the outfit and re-dressed the figure, still no luck.
Overall it's a nice set, wish there was an option without the dioramas and I think the pricing mandate really forced InArt's hand.
I look forward to getting the Artisan version in to compare them both and then keep the best one, I might also see if I can find a custom suit as I can't get past the lapel issue.
