Ha, I was just about to make a thread.

Looks good to me.

There was an article yesterday on AICN detailing an event of sorts for journalists to get a look at some footage. The author of the article seems concerned (overly concerned, IMO) about some of the creative decisions. Some good info in there.

That looks really cool. Never heard of this until today. Great mash of music and voice overs with the cut scenes. Ill definitely keep an eye on this one.

Hmm, no way to know what the plot is (I know nothing about the source material)

Seems like a very generic you're special and the only one that can save us somehow type movie.

I thought it was supposed to look more like Mars? I know they were shooting in real locations that were supposed to look like Mars, but it's very far from it.

I was a huge fan of the books as a kid - read them all multiple times. It's interesting in the trailer that we really only see the live action and not much of the creatures.

But that guy looks too young for Carter.

It has a Disenyfied feel to it. Sort of along the lines of Prince of Persia.

Prince of Persia is what I thought of too. I did like Kitsch in Friday Night Lights, so hopefully he is good in this.

Mhmmm... something is definitely missing...
But might give it a go...

I think what's missing is Mars doesn't look like an exotic foreign world. Haven't read the books, so I don't know how Mars is described.

hmmm.. Pixar directors doing live action films. Brad Bird directing Mission Impossible 4 and now Andrew Stanton. :)

I definately thought Prince of Persia as well. I like Taylor in FNL, so hope this is good.

2nd trailer is up, and seeing this makes me more interested in seeing the film

Although at the start I thought Anakin and Obi Wan were going to join in

I'm psyched for this. It does suffer from similar imagery to a lot of stuff we've seen before but that's par for the course these days - we've been drawing from the same wells for so long.

Very happy with the little peak of Woola -
