This movie has one of the most boring, generic, blandest looking trailers i've seen in a while.

Which probably means the movie is awesome!

I do like the Kashmir orchestral track though.

One of my buds got lucky enough to go see the premier last night and he said it was awesome. His taste in movies is usually pretty good so now I am pretty excited to see it my self.

That extended scene is great. I'm a huge fan of the series - I devoured all of the books as a child and even made custom toys of the characters back then.

But the way Disney has marketed this is almost criminal.

Removing "of Mars" from the title is about the most stupid thing any marketing department has done in the history of time. And the key art is the absolute worst!

Considering the source material and the behind the camera talent involved, this should be a franchise of at least 9 films - but they've massively blown it. Hopefully clips like this will turn around the buzz and get people out there - if done properly this deserves to be as big as Star Wars (the original, not the prequels).

It seems like there's no marketing outside of the tv spots, and they aren't helping. I was at Barnes and Noble the other day and there was a little side table with the books way in the back by the sci-fi section, that's it. As much as I hope it does well, most people don't know what the hell it is, and that's not going to put butts in the seats.

I will definately see it! I've liked the look of it from the beginning.

This may have been posted earlier - but this is the way to sell this film - Disney should have hired this guy from the beginning.

For some reason I would normally mock a trailer like this....but I really wanna see this movie. Never read the source material but I've always been intriguied by it.

The 4 minute peek and new trailer are a big improvement. Less for the white apes and more because the trailer section is a bit more epic feeling than what they've done previously.

I suspect some heads have already rolled over at Disney and we are seeing marketing 2.0 on this film. Kinda late of the game but they should've stuck "of Mars" back in the title.

I hope this marks the end of cheap photochopped movie posters for a while. There should've been a Frazetta-ish poster featuring Carter and Dejah.

The promo posters/images/logos for this movie have all been sh-t.

Looks like garbage. I have been tricked by a movie like this before. This looks like it's going to be exactly like 10,000 BC

Just finished watching this, followed by a Q&A with the director. Better than I expected! I would suggest that people ignore the crappy marketing and give this a shot next week. I'm going to pay to see it again with my family.

Some great visuals and I also enjoyed the score. Hope they get to make a sequel or two.

It was nice to see the full title up on the big screen--JOHN CARTER OF MARS. They saved it for the end, and it worked. He had to earn the title.
