...
Never in my life had I ever seen anything like this and of course I thought, "any time now the truck and I are history" but none the less it wasn't my time, thank you to the gods above :bow

Glad you are safe DC :rock

Really glad you and your wife are safe Ski.

Stay safe everyone!

I will happily deal with the cold and snow during the winter if I don't have to worry about ending up in Oz. :panic:

Looks like there may be more crazy storms today too. Stay safe everyone

I hope everyone affected by this are doing fine. It's so sad reading about thousands of homes getting destroyed and people missing, you truly think about true values in life and how much we take for granted.

OK...so I am at Wal-Mart on Range Line in Joplin yesterday. I was just minding my own business buying socks. Then I went to a Casino a short distance from the motel that I am staying at about a mile or so South of that Wal-Mart. After I was there for about an hour...somebody came in and said that Joplin had been hit hard by a tornado. I was done giving money to the casino so I went back to the motel only to find that a few short blocks North of the motel, the majority of the area of Joplin where I have been hanging out for the last two weeks is gone...including the Wal-Mart that I was in about two hours prior to that. So far, there are 89 people confirmed as have perished, my coworker who lives in Joplin, the last I heard, is still looking for his daughter and sister who both lived in the damaged area, and I have never felt so impotent and worthless in my life. I went up to volunteer last night, but they told me they didn't need me...I mean...I am not a doctor, but I can take orders and lift heavy ____...but tomorrow when they anticipated the call for voluteers would go out, I will try again.

I'm happy to know that you're safe Cruel. I just hope all the other Freaks from Missouri are safe too.

I spent almost an hour in the basement due to tornado warnings. We got a ton of rain and hail. My whole town is flooded. I have no idea how much rain we got and there's more to come. The farm field across the road from me is a huge lake. I had water bubbling up out of the ground in my yard.

Glad it pretty much missed you INK.

it literally missed here by a couple miles...we were in the light green patch on radar the whole time & the nasty dark red area was moving the other way

Just checked the radar and the rain will be starting again soon. There's a nasty streak all the way through Illinois heading into Indiana right now. Looks like this isn't going to miss any of us here in Ohio.

I'd rather have snow anyday!

Damn that sucks :( Thoughts and prayers sent that way.

Where in Kansas are you DS? I was thinking you lived on the west coast.

This is unreal. I was watching this on the news about Joplin last night and it's horrifying.
Sorry to hear (or read) that you peeps are going through all this, please be safe stay well.
x :peace
