Only good thing about this box office fiasco is that Dredd should hopefully hit stores soon.

Only lasted 3 weeks by my house. Blu 3D is fine.

More likely between next week and next month. All the summer movies will be out. Finding Nemo 3D us the last of them. I know I po it.

I finally got a chance to see this amazing film last night - & loved every SECOND of it!!!
Instant buy as soon as it hits the stores. I was expecting it to be a good film - but fark!!!!

If Dredd doesn't get a sequel, then what good is the world.

Unfortunately I wouldn't hold my breath unless it generates some huge cult following after the DVD/Bluray release.

Production budget was 50 million and it struggled to gross 28.5 million worldwide. Rule of thumb to profit from a film is to double the production budget. This was a big loss.

Meanwhile Twilight is making a killing.

Yeah, I'm not under any illusions there - it is what it is unfortunately.

How it didn't even break even, is mind boggling though..

If only they didn't cling so tightlty to the 3D gimmick, I think they easily would have made their money back with normal showings.

Yeah, thats true. I just thought about that, but I think my local theatre offered like one showing a day not in 3D? WTF? Maybe they scaled back if it wasn't bringing people in, I'm not sure.

It's just unbelievable.

Probably one of THE best pop culture films of the last whenever, & this is the fate it receives?

One big filthy shame.. I saw it in normal 2D incidentally at a small local cinema that only offered it that way.

I wanted to see it but my wife was too near the end of her third trimester and so I didn't want to risk of delivering in a theatre.

Haha, at the time I had prime/VIP seats to a Kiss concert. The original band members. My wife was 8 months pregnant. Yes, we did go, oh yes we did go..
