Re: New Judge Dredd movie

So there you go. Don't think Dredd is a senior Judge just yet.

Not go be overly combative but I can't see a non senior judge warranting a million credit bounty. Dredd clearly had a bad *** reputation by the time this story takes place. The Chief judge personally assigned Anderson to him and trusted his *ahem* judgement.

Oh well it is what it is.

Re: New Judge Dredd movie

I think you misunderstood, no one is a senior Judge in the film. Hence why, when Dredd is low, he can't grab his gun.

Re: New Judge Dredd movie

Finally saw this and liked it.
They really need to find away to do a trilogy and add the dark judges.

However...
Why didn't Dredd pilfer the first dirty judges ammo?
He must've known he was low.
Why did he stand upright and stock still behind the wall as the last dirty judge honed in on him? seemed out of character.

the bullets are DNA coded too

Re: New Judge Dredd movie

Rented it this weekend and really liked it. Definitely going to buy the bluray.

I don't think that was the case in the movie because after Anderson killed the last Judge, Dredd took all of his rounds and reloaded his lawgiver. I thought it was odd as well that he didn't take the ammo from the 1st Judge he killed.

Re: New Judge Dredd movie

I think the first Judge he killed had a pistol. It was when he got cornered and there were 2 judges after him that you saw one with a rifle.

That's what I'm saying. He couldn't have taken mags from the second to last judge because he had a rifle. Not sure if he was low enough to consider it or if there was even time (they were moving in pretty fast) when he took out the first.

I'm on my Cell.

I have it playing now in the background. The 1st Bad Judge his gun went over the side. Then he gave him something to eat, why the judge was croaking on his lunch. The others Judges came up. He did not have time.

The 1st Judge his gun went over the side. The 4rd Judge he took his ammo and said reload. The small/3rd Judge was a waste.

It's the gun that has the DNA on it. not the ammo. That is why they make it a point to point out that you don't lose your weapon.

Re: New Judge Dredd movie

Make a play for the last judges shotgun?
Stand sideways rather than flush against the wall then fake getting hit and draw him in?

Just seemed out of character for Dredd to passively get shot....
unless they edited out a scene where Anderson telepathically tells Dredd she's almost there. That would've made more sense when he says "Wait.."

He was telling Anderson to wait, not the 4th Judge. There was also no place for him to really go. You have to know this took place really fast.

I did like the 4th Judge speech. Wait! The great Dredd and the best you can say is Wait! Remind me of The Incrables.

On what basis do you make the claim he was telling Anderson to "Wait"? Nothing in the film indicates she was physically close enough to hear him. He said it to Lex to buy time in hopes she would make it in time ( he didn't even know she had freed her self) I think the scence would've worked better if it showed they were in telepathic contact otherwise it looks like stupid luck and Dredd doesn't seem the type to count on luck.

Being that I was watching it as I was making my posts. He told the 4th Judge to wait, but he was really talking to Anderson. Watch it again. The Judge was monolingual (Going on).
