If you read the original 2000 AD comics Dredd's helmet looked like that.

edit: I also keep looking at his badge in the photo posted 2 pages back, and I just don't see the R in DREDD. It looks like an A to me. Anyone else?

If you read the original 2000 AD comics Dredd's helmet looked like that.

Doesn't translate very well IMO. I'm sure it will be better on film though. I didn't even know this was in the works until about 20 minutes ago.

Hope HT picks up the rights for the Stallone version and passes on this.

Agreed, I find the helmet to be very much in-line with Carlos Ezquerra's original design.

The Lawmaster bike on the other hand...

You won't get any arguments from me; I chose a Bolland design for a tattoo I got almost 20 years ago. But I can live with the Ezquerra design they chose for the movie. At least it's better than the Stallone version.
