Re: Jurassic World

Hopefully. Having the I-Rex kill the original female would end this franchise for good, there would be no way back for it. I fully expect the T-Rex to kill the I-Rex and give us her famous roar as the last shot of a dinosaur in the film.

It's the best possible way to revive the franchise. Having a natural (albeit engineered) Rex kill the engineered superior Rex fits Malcolm's "Life finds a way" line perfectly.

Seems more like they're setting the Raptors up to do that. Or they'll fall short and the Rex will come in. They've been awfully quiet about the T-rex, no appearance in any trailer.

Re: Jurassic World

I'm hoping the lack of T-Rex in the trailers is them trying to keep something secret and new that we haven't seen in the trailers. If the Rex does indeed have one scene in the movie, the final fight, I imagine it's something they'll want to keep top secret despite fan speculation.

Re: Jurassic World

The rex is no secret though. The Rex Paddock is one of the only currently open locations that feature live dinosaurs on the tour. They haven't opened other sections like the hadrosaurs or pachy arena yet. (on the site, not in the movie)

And the Rex paddock/arena is pretty damn close to the visitor's center/hotel.

Re: Jurassic World

The site had no direct relation to the movie. The site advertises the opening of the I-Rex paddock this Summer yet in the movie Owen seems to know very little to nothing of the new hybrid.

Re: Jurassic World

I think they try to make everything cool and contrasty way too much nowadays. Also something tells me that if the dinosaur is indeed practical effect they have somehow ended up adding CGI touch and basically ****ed it up. I tried to make image more realistic in Photoshop - masked the dino roughly and lowered contrast and saturation. See below:

Btw, interesting video about this subject:

That looks much better :clap the original looks like a toy

Re: Jurassic World

Found this online, not sure where it originates from but I think it's legit.

So there's four members of the "Raptor Squad":

Notice that "Charlie" has a circular, beady pupil as opposed to the other three that have the snake eyes.

So we have B (Blue), C (Charlie), D (Delta) and E (Echo)...I wonder where the A is.

Re: Jurassic World

The pupil is most interesting. Either indicates that one is male or has been genetically tampered with. (in JP3 the males have round pupils)

Re: Jurassic World

Hmm. That's odd. I always thought it was just the males. I guess that makes it possible then that Charlie could actually be a natural raptor born into the wild at the park as opposed to made by the scientists, where as the others are the ones that were tampered with.

So I guess Blue is the leader

Re: Jurassic World

That was a pic that was tweeted was suppose to be in the Super Bowl trailer I didn't see it , yet it don't look like a velociraptor from the raptor squad

Re: Jurassic World

It's strange that three of those raptors were given names from the phonetic alphabet, but one of them is differentiated as "blue". I wonder what's the reason for that.

I was thinking the same. His patterning is also different. It's more specific and precise like the males in JP3, whereas the other three have random spots/stripes like the JP1 raptors it seems.

And then there's Charlie with his bird eye. :lol

All this is getting me more excited for the film. I like that the raptors have names, and personality in their designs.
