Jurassic World (SPOILERS!)

I actually think JW will hold up better than JP. As thrilling as it was to see dinos on screen and the T-Rex and kitchen scenes I was always left wanting since it didn't have a true "smile you son of a *****!" moment. Her just roaring and everyone leaving the island always felt a bit anti-climactic. It's still a "classic," but JW is the Jurassic movie I always hoped to see.

Bah. Hogwash, sir. I enjoyed the heck out of this. I went in with low expectations and enjoyed the ride. But this lacked the quality human characters or the actually feeling of danger and suspense the original had. I thought Pratt was the only solid character and I blame the obvious CGI shots and lack of blood for not providing a real sense of danger.

Jurassic Universe!

Pretty much this.

Think about the craziness for Trevorrow (Trevorrow Vorrow Land).

He went from directing only one single movie, under a million budget at that, to this.

Imagine how he feels right about now.

His story is all around pretty whacky. Before he became an actor, he was pretty much a bum living out of a van in hawaii

I had no way of knowing who that was but I laughed out loud at him grabbing both margaritas. I want to see the pteranodon attack set to Gremlins music.

JP1 is a masterpiece, but we also had never seen a T-Rex before in that manner.

But yes, there were better characters and in it plus the T-Rex reveal scene is one of the best structered scenes in cinema history.

Chris Pratt will get the 'hunky lead' roles for a while longer, itself a step-up from the chubby comedy sidekick thing he had going (though I'd never seen him prior to GOTG) but then he's going to try for serious films I'm sure.

I really wish there was a gif of that look he gives John, I wanted to use it in response to someone else's post recently.

Excellent. I've always thought Arnie looked particularly cool in those desert scenes. The squint was super-severe in that sunlight.
