I never really considered that the TRex was the same one from the original movie. I figured all those animals had to be destroyed before the people could take hold of the island again.

Well I believe that T-Rex and the two Dilophosaurus' would have been the only predators alive on the island, probably wouldn't have been too hard to tranquilize three dinos.

The hard core JP fans knew about her and the viral sites stated that it was her but the movie never mentions it. Maybe they should have mentioned it during the T-Rex Kingdom scene.

If JP shirts were on ebay and it was common knowledge that people died before the park opened then it does seem like it'd be a bit taboo to parade around a T-Rex that everyone knew ate a guy.

The t-shirt was in poor taste but the living, breathing maneater wasn't? :lol

Ah okay. I basically didn't look at anything to do with this film before release. I didn't even know Dr Wu was going to be back. When I watched the film I was surprised to see that he was back creating dinosaurs all over again.

In the book Wu suffers the exact fate that Grant spells out to the kid at the dig in the beginning. I wonder if we'll finally see his gory demise in one of the sequels.

So watching The Lost World again a few days back I was reminded that it closed with Hammond's TV broadcast where he says that "these animals need isolation, the island needs to be protected and preserved, bla bla bla." Would you say that JW is deliberately replacing TLW and JPIII? They seem to be quite specifically bringing to life Hammond's dream of JP1, but not TLW. And if you lose TLW then you have to lose JPIII since Grant talks about "the situation in San Diego" at the beginning of the film.

Hey look. I'm not trying to rain on anybody's parade, but it just blew my mind how a movie can become such a great hit with lines pouring out the door, for something so half ass.
Exactly

Nothing from Pixar since 2013? What about that terrible redhead girl movie? Brave?
Hey now! Brave is a good movie. Better than most Disney movies I've had the misfortune of having to watch over and over with 2 young girls.

Because, not unlike Gynysys, I couldn't care less about this movie or what happens in it.

But it's fun to watch others rage against each other, no matter what the context. All this polarization will be a distant memory 2 or 3 years from now, when I finally get around to watching this movie. ACTUALLY, it might be better if I watch JP3 before this one, since I never saw it either.

I don't know that you ever need to watch JP3, under any context. But otherwise, yeah, I suppose I get you. Furious 7 is like #3 all time globally now and I still don't give a crap about when I get around to seeing it, if ever. Haven't watched any FatF movies since the second one.

I thought part 3 had a super dinosaur that kicked T-rex's ass, then I hear the new one does also, and so I'm just not sure what's going on. I'll probably just go watch Carnosaur again instead.

I love the insanity of the Mososaurus exhibit. You've got a what, blue whale size monster that can leap 50 feet out of the air for a tiny morsel? Probably a great idea to have your monorail zoom 20 feet above it. :lol

I mean clearly it doesn't take much to provoke the sucker, I can just see some teenage punks tossing some cheeseburgers over the railing and having a 70 ton beast sail over their heads and flatten everyone on main street.

That's interesting, I pretty much spoiled most of the movie for myself. Did you enjoy the movie?
