Terminator sequels after T2 have really messed up a-dev.

Unexpectedly found a stop-gap solution to the charger explosion problem. I have thusly returned to keep this thread off topic!

I actually can't recall the last time I watched T2 in full. But I often put it on to pull screengrabs for reference or for joke-posts etc - so it's always in my consciousness one way or another. I watched T1 in full a couple of weeks ago. I rate them equally really, they're both very good at what they depict and it really is just down to one's mood per Arnie as bad guy/Arnie as good guy.

But as to conveniences preventing Arnie from killing anyone in T2 versus Jurassic World's Raptors - as I said before it's better compared to the T-Rex. T-Rex doesn't kill anyone in JW. She is Uncle Bob here. And it's not like T2 has no killing - the T-1000 fills that role. So I continue to not feel there's any real problem there*

*at least as pertaining to T2. I do think that they cheapen it by regurgitating that same scenario again in T3 and T:Genisys

Cyborgs and dinosaurs have nothing in common here, so don't worry.


The T-Rex in World is just a fan service moment, not a real character with characterization for the plot of the film like T1 and T2's characters.


That moment at the end with Dallas Howard felt so false to me. In the first film when Malcolm tried to run with the flare and throw it but he gets jacked in only a couple of feet. It wasn't even fooled anymore because Malcolm was moving with it unlike Grant. Bryce Dallas Howard on the other hand runs all the way to the center of the park and the T-Rex doesn't even try and snap her. I don't see how it didn't catch her or why it wouldn't snatch her up before going after the iRex. All she did was lay on the ground and kiss her ass good bye with the T-Rec just hovering above her.

JW and TFA should have switched release dates. Star Wars has always been a summer movie and JW was set at Christmas time.

Though I reckon Disney did that with Star Wars so that it didn't clash/cancel itself out with Age of Ultron and Ant-Man.
