Terminator 3 is a complete rehash of T2 and we hate it. Jurassic World is a complete rehash of JP and we love it?

That's like saying Jurassic Park ends with people being surrounded by velociraptors and we love it. Jurassic Park III ends with people being surrounded by velociraptors and we hate it?

Duh. Yes. :lol One little similarity does not equate to having the same overall quality.

It made a billion dollars, and nowadays no matter how good or bad it is:

Billion dollars = Immediately an incredible film

Complete nonsense of course. People were singing the praises of JW on Day 1 before anyone knew if, or how quickly, it would make a billion dollars. Has anyone declared Age or Extinction, Alice in Wonderland, or On Stranger Tides to be "incredible" films? Not that I've ever seen.

I'm only extending the sentiment I've seen in this thread since release since we need round the clock updates on the gross.

Yeah, this movie is not doing well because of a world full of followers... its doing well because it delivers exactly what people want out of this premise: rampaging dinos at a theme park. Delivered in an entertaining way with THE likeable star of the moment and a boost of nostalgia to an audience past.

- Two siblings (height also similar to JP)
- Two siblings visiting a relative who runs the park
- Two siblings - trapped in a vehicle being attacked by a "REX" divided only by glass
- A sick/ dying animatronic dinosaur on the ground with humans standing over it (with eyes rolling around)
- Using a flare to direct a T Rex
- Two big Dinosaurs fighting
- Raptors jumping on the back of a bigger dinosaur
- T Rex roaring at the end

Sure there is more but I'm out of breath......

You can literally place TLW and JP3 right after JW and it will play out the same.

So what. ALIENS and T2 also hit many of the same beats as their predecessors and are considered to be great sequels by many. But again, just because another movie (like T3 or whatever) tries to follow suit doesn't mean that it will be of the same quality or have the same success. I guess I'm not sure what the logic is in the point you're trying to make.

Jurassic Whirl - 6/10
Training raptors and having them by your side as you ride towards a battle, whistling to have them attack, and seeing the raptor turn the corner in slow motion as he comes in to save the day 1/10

Yeah that's like saying "I enjoyed Winter Soldier but hated the elevator fight, Quinjet takedown, and 'I'm with you to the end of the line.' Those parts were 1/10."

:lol
