Sorry if this has been asked before, where does JW stands in the JP trilogy timeline?

Should it be JP and JW main story and the other 2 are spin-offs? Since 2 & 3 were not set at Isla Nublar...

For those that disliked it, what would you have preferred to see? Like specifically...

I would have liked to see the "sharp" Claire. We're introduced to her memorizing her business contacts/investors, and I loved when she slid the trash can over to Lowery because she knew he was going to drop his drink. She could have been shown more intelligently (like why in the world would you need to drive to the command center to track the I-Rex? Wth are those computers that the guard had access to for then?! Lol).

While a little hammy, I enjoyed Dr. Wu's time on the screen. I thought he was going to be a prominent figure in the movie. Hoping he will be in the next one.
But I think getting more into the genetics side would have been crazy interesting. Wth are those encased spines for?!

I think more development for Owen and Blue could have made a stronger backbone for the "raptor squad" stuff. I thought it was pretty lame how they hyped the audience getting ready to release them, they run (which was a nice sequence), and then.... just sorta find the I-Rex-oh-crap-they-mind-melded-and-we're-done.

I would have liked seeing the raptors break lose. A better explanation for the I rex escape. Not the good old predator ****. If the military can do that just use it on dolphins or some **** lol.

Would have liked the raptors to be top dog smarts wise. The I rex is far too intelligent to know she's being tracked. I was honestly shaking my head and I knew the movie was going to fail the moment I rex was introduced.

I would have liked JEEPS instead of glass balls. Seriously that was the dumbest idea EVER. Maybe even worse than the I rex predator.

I would have liked a more realistic relationship between the brothers. I would have liked a scene where the children hide and you actually care and feer for their savety. I would have like the female character to be dressed like something other than.. that. I would have liked dr. ****in grant in this one. If lame scientist wu is in it, might as well act like part 2 and 3 didn't happen and grant came back because he feels he has to be there in case something goes wrong. I would have like more Dino details.

I would have liked the park to be less safe for more conventional escapes. They had to cut costs. Why not there? Not like trying to use raptors is a good idea either.

Most of all I would have liked the raptors to be uncontrollable the moment they got out. I would have liked rex to win and feast on his prey and roar while something with jurassic world on it falls down ff's.

Only thing good on this was Chris platt. But he could have been more serious like the Hunter in JP1. IF I had directed this film platt would have died defending the female lead against the raptors. Hommage to part 1 and a big damn shocker. Makes the audience feel like anything can happen.

Pretty sure I missed something.

GasparZizou: My reaction was the same when seeing the Rex and Blue at the end, the equivalent of a dude nod, lol. But after re-watching I think I'm okay with it. I've heard people say they don't understand why it didn't just eat Blue but with Trevorrow saying it was meant to be an older, slower Rex, I think getting the snot kicked out of it made it just want to retreat. You can't eat everything all the time. And while Blue prolly should've just run away, it made a judgment call to slowly back away to establish the other animal was in control (kinda like the raptors in JPIII?).

Bullet1217: I think the advancement in technology still shows it comes last.

Eczamurai: Agreed, a good old jeep chase scene done well might have been nice. Although I did like when the I-Rex swirls the gyrosphere around to look into it.

The junior novel talks more about how the dinosaurs have the implants that taser them if the gyrosphere gets close or when dinosaurs stray from their designated areas. I think going into more detail about how the park works would have been nice.

I know I've said it before but I wish we could have seen the ACU kick ass at the beginning. Show the audience how we got from the first movie to here, new containment procedures, weaponry, evacuation plans that don't involve funneling everyone onto a dock to bake in the sun waiting for a boat, lol. Make me believe that *you* believe this park is fully under control so that when the fudge hits the fan it feels epic.

Surprised that they haven't announced a sequel yet. When a film does that well at the box office sequels are usually given the OK within weeks.

Oh I think they have said there will be another- watch them announce a new trilogy with back to back shooting- always go Avatar on us...

I thought I read somewhere they are writing it right now and if Spielberg and Trevorrow sign off it's good to go.

It definitely is "Jurassic Park IV" as The Lost World and Jurassic Park /// are still canon.

The Lost World & Jurassic Park 3 are still canon - Jurassic World

Here's an article from a couple days ago. I'm open to the idea of a sequel, it will happen at some point, but please non dino-human hybrids. :(

the Dinosaurs were awesome but the script is garbage.... I cannot believe Steven Spielberg said yes to this script, wtf

there were So many moments were I Was banging my head against the walls on how stupid the characters were. it was like the IQ of all the actors dropped in half or something while playing these characters.... wow, I kind of love and hate this at the same time. the dinosaurs were great but the humans were awful

I thought the little kid would have been the worst thing about it, and the kid was the best character of the movie (the one that annoyed me the least)
you know things are bad when the kid ends up being the least annoying of the whole group...

They want Pratt to be the next Indy? He's terrible, amusing actor but it's not Ford is it??

Characters in this terrible E for Effort.

Well considering this film just crossed 600 million domestically and will cross 1.5 billion globally, I think Spielberg knows the core audience better than people think he does lol

everyone always craps on the lost world an that was miles better than this.... even the girl taking out the raptor was not as stupid as some of the stuff in this movie (like the heels...)

I gotta be honest the D rex was hideous too... even the spino in JP 3 was nicer looking

The writing is mediocre in most movies these days. I'm sure prerty much every movie is worthy of a 'hishe' video too.

since the world was praising this movie so much I expected better. I honestly did. The worst thing about it, what bothers me so much is that they were easy things to fix.

Have Claire run barefoot, have the kids go out of the trail After they close down the ride, not before. have tracks for the Sphere ( make them get off track in another way) take out the "weaponized raptors" plot.

Have the I Rex behave like a real animal and not just a sci fi monster of the week. the thermal thing and the camouflage were pointless, I rex acted like a horror slasher,

Jurassic World might as well be called Friday the 13th: Jason goes Prehistoric...
I think I am most bothered of how the I Rex felt like a cheap horror character. nothing about it was animalistic at all. The raptors were evil in the first one but they didn't feel as bad as this.

I don't know, I almost expected I Rex to be holding a knife and start saying "chi chi chi- ka ka ka"

I liked Jurassic World xD. Its not better than Jurassic Park but the film was fun. All my family enjoy with it.
Pratt is a good actor for me and I think he will be a good Indy. Indiana isnt a difficult character for interpretation...
