Re: Jurassic World

Na leave them as is I say. Don't need Spielberg trotting down the path of his old pal Lucas.

Maybe add the rex screaming Nooooo at the end? :lol

Re: Jurassic World

Even though it's 20 years old, I'd say that Jurassic Park effects put some modern films to shame

I was watchiing Olympus Has Fallen and that looked ridiculous, that was when, last year?

Re: Jurassic World

Wouldnt redoing the scenes require the actual unedited footage without cgi or the files where they did cgi?

I watched that the other day too. The fx were very poor in some places.

Yes, but not a big issue, they probably have copies of all the film stored somewhere safe. Like when they did the remasters of the Star Trek The Next Generation Blu-Ray they had to go back to the original film and recomposite all of the effects because the show was edited to VHS.

The bigger challenge on older movies is going back to the original FX files, probably the reason the 3D conversion of the Phantom Menace was so bad was because it would have been too difficult to go back to the original FX passes because they are most likely poorly organized back then and if they found the right files they would be for really old programs that might not even be around anymore.

It's still stunning to believe you can look at that film with as old as it is, and still be convinced it's a real dinosaur :rotfl
