* my main one was cutting to that family constantly - I kept waiting for the big payoff but it never came. It was a little odd.

After about the third cutaway to that family, my wife asked if that little girl was a DC hero that was about to gain her powers... I'm like I have no ****ing clue why they are spending so much screentime on this family. :lol

What a **** movie. I love DC, love the animated stuff and looove the arkham games. I even enjoyed MOS and BVS. But this was the biggest load of crap Ive seen in a while. There was barely a story, the “villian” was very forgetable, there were zero stakes and they wasted the “big reveal” for a generic cookie cutter plot. It felt like watching an avengers movie but even worse.

Very well said.

is it worth for the visuals???

It's no better or worse than Avengers, only Avengers was first, so JL will always appear to be playing catch-up. But I personally prefer the DC universe.

Much as I enjoyed it, like snikt I would have preferred the Snyder factor not be watered down.

Mostly no, Snyder's visuals are still palpable somewhat but the added saturation and grain removal killed most of it. And then there's the Whedon scenes that are just his trademark of ugly.

Action is ok, the resurrection bit is the best action of the movie, the rest is passable.

This, people won't admit it, but they are the same.

Maybe. Without spoilers, there was one scene I really enjoyed and if they based the whole movie around that idea i reckon it would have been great.
But remeber the warehouse fight scene in BvS and how there was tension and how well shot it was? Nothing in this movie comes close to that.

Also, there's nothing as gorgeous as this.

New Mutants is going to be visionary, stylish, refreshing, AWESOME. You're gonna love it and it's going to finally end this ridiculous desire you have to quit the CBM genre (the year ****ing Logan came out for Christ's sake).

The MCU is creatively dead and the DCEU is just dead. It is what it is. There are still other games in town via FOX's expanding X-Verse & SONY's soon-to-debut R-rated Spider-Verse.

Jeez there is no damn r rated spidey verse. Only venom is rated r. What on earth would they gain from making Spider-Man , a light hearted hero who sells to kids , rated r? Think! Spider-Man isn’t freaking deadpool. The darkest Spider-Man stories are usually with kraven and they aren’t that bad. Hell venom is barely r rated material . Stop saying that

Directors Cut of BvS hurt that movie.

The movie was severely lacking in action yet they gave us more of Kent’s useless Batman investigation and Lois’s useless Lex investigation.

I thought this too at first, but after a couple watches I turned around on the Director's Cut and now I actually prefer it. But I can still understand while others don't prefer it. It is a 3 hour movie afterall and I've never watched a 3 hour movie that didn't feel like a 3 hour movie.
