I liked it. I don't get the hate.

I have the same opinion. I thought it was decent. Not outstanding, but entertaining. I thought Superman returning and turning the big bad into a punk diminished the threat he was throughout the film, but overall it was enjoyable.

BF benefited from Burton's lingering influence (even though he was no longer directing). My only beef was Batman being "cured" by the end, remaining a vigilante by choice.

Too bad he tied everything together in all the most poorly done ways. :( For me at least.

Does not matter how much he may tie ideas to the OT (such as the certain point of view).. You can have as many small moments as you want.. But there were just as many bad moments to offset those and then the overall story brings it down even more.

Its still better then AOTC though.. So thats something I guess ;)

Its cool that it has its fans (Khev, Jye and the six other guys).

:lol :lol

This was IMO just average SW .For me the new trilogy is probably beyond saving. I just don't dig the new characters at all and I have no excitement for the final film.

I have been able to separate the PT from the OT and will do the same with this NT.

I like Rey and Kylo but as I've said before I feel that SW is kind of "over" now that Han, Luke, and Leia's stories have come to a close. Every other story is just the endless cyclical aftermath now. Even Rey as the next hero is already seemingly being primed for replacement by Broom Boy and others like him. And it's not like ROTJ where a young hero redeems the sins of a previous generation and restores the Jedi Order. Luke himself restored the legend of the Jedi so he really is the Alpha and Omega as opposed to just one of many generational heroes.

As for JL... Well I watched parts of it on Blu Ray the other night... It seems to play better on the big screen... At the same time when watching it all I can hear is Khev and Jye's complaints about the film.. So that may have some effect. :lol
I enjoyed it for what it was in the theater. It was nice to see the JL fighting together. But it is a goofy film.. Awful villain and main story hurt this film for sure.

Yes back to JL. I just rented it and watched it for the first time since the theater (over two nights.) I can definitely say that I just don't care for this film. It has a cool moment here and there but for the most part I just find myself either embarrassed for those involved in making it or embarrassed at myself for watching it. I can honestly say that I even prefer Skull Island. At least that one can be watched on mute allowing you to appreciate the uniformly good cinematography, visuals, and fights from beginning to end.

Wasn’t impressed by this. Kinda glad I saw Thor Ragnarok in theaters instead. The musical score in this film is atrocious. Danny Elfman works for some comic films, but this franchise clearly isn’t one of them.

Furthermore, some of the early scenes were just bad. Both in part of the writing and the acting. It also felt like they were lacking the final touches of cinematography or something.

It saddens me that this couldn’t have been a better film. I mean, I could feel the potential oozing off the screen. Please... Warner Bros... get your **** together or just let Disney assimilate you already.

Well said Jameson WB literally tried to hide that mustache lol

B&R lolz are in full display Batman flashing his credit card and all!

I mean sure both are bad but one is bad and funny which translates into an annual viewing experience for me lol

Arnold makes B&R worth watching, still would like a figure of him in the prison stripes. Other than that, ugggg. Though Superman IV is still worse.

As for JL, nothing makes me want to see it again. If I do, I can just pull up the scene on YouTube....

Johnson allegedly talks about how he tied almost every single scene in TLJ to something in the OT. The multiple versions of Luke at Kylo's bedside? All to show how truth can be blurred by having the incorrect "point of view." Genius. I'd put Johnson's SW knowledge above all the bashers here combined (except JAWS since he concedes that Luke's arc in TLJ is awesome. ;))

LOL. Don't see anything "genius" about milking alien teats. Hamill bashes him still to this day. Board members can come up with a better SW story line than that hack.

Returns is as hokey and cheesy as B&R in many ways......camp, too. Somehow it always gets easy passes(and I do love it myself)

Lol. WB as a long time fan just stop please. You inspired the world with Wonder Woman why can't you just go from there? Stop making JL happen you ruined it with your rushed catching up to marvel crap

^Fan cut just means the fans putting it together, no? I think WB did give up.

So some new things have come out about Snyder’s original cut, some of it already known. But take it with a grain of salt as someone could have just stitched it together. But with Zack... you never know lol.. this is right up his alley

Batman was just in it to fight, he was ready to die for it after what happened with Superman and he was hell bent on bringing him back.

Aqua man was going to be more of a drunk and serious character, less with the bro-isms. He would be out of control at times and resistant in an aggressive way to joining the league.

Wonder Woman would still have her opening rescue, but instead of saving everyone the bomb was going to go off, killing everyone except her, a la Superman in the capitol in BvS.

Flash would have had some kind of brain condition, hence the sort of ‘tick’ that he had in earlier footage. He would have been far less quippy as well.

Superman would have come back not knowing who he is, and the forces of darkness would try to manipulate him into choosing power and ruling with Darkseid. No brainwashing, just confusion.

Cyborg would be very somber and kind of like what we saw in the movie, saw himself as a monster and was ready to die. He would be torn apart at the end and stay dead. (No idea about his fate in part 2, but I couldn’t imagine they’d leave him dead)
He also would have come up with the way to resurrect Superman after interfacing with the ship, however it would send him into his own ‘Knightmare’ where Superman was evil again. This fear is what led to his weapons systems going haywire once Superman was resurrected and uncertain of what’s going on.

At the end Superman would remember who he is but not before the bad guys win.

And then the old thing about the green lanterns coming to save the JL. (Anyone remember ‘Unite the Seven? :lol)

So if this is true... I could see why WB would deem it ‘unwatchable’ :lol

I know most would disagree but I’d still prefer to have seen this insanity to what we got. At least it would have gone out with insane gusto. I don’t think the murderverse would have lasted past JL part 2 anyway, but it would have been an interesting experiment to see through to its conclusion, considering you can reboot these things to kingdom come anyway.

Still.. I cannot deny the sheer insanity of it lol

Imagine the internet wars if that thing came out

What’s with Zach and making these characters as depressing as possible? That sounds horrible? It’s like dc and marvel switched tones. I always viewed marvel as more dark not being to dark as Batman but still dark. After all marvel heroes are humans cursed with power they didn’t want.
