I agree here as well, I feel that it could've benefitted from the slow mo fight scenes being a bit more toned down (it could've meshed better with the rest of the film; however, the Blake/intruder scene was really well done, and, had the Mason finale scene been included in the actual cut, it would've benefitted from the style), but it's a fantastic film. I am kind of curious what it could've been, though. An HBO miniseries would've been great in some parallel dimension!

Since this is the Justice League movie thread, am I the only one that would want to see The New Frontier in live action? Imagine it: the film begins with clips of the Justice Society fighting criminals/Nazis/what have you interweaves with their tribunal that's accusing them of being communists. You hear radio broadcasts of the "news" about Superman and Wonder Woman overlaying an amateur film depicting the fight between Batman and Superman (similar to the iconic Big Foot film), etc. Maybe, all of this is intertwined with Rex Tyler[Hourman] as he runs from police. It would never happen because it's way too nichey, but I like to think that, in a perfect world, it would.

Personally, I hated New Frontier. So yeah, I hope they stay clear of that.

Darkseid is the clear choice for the bad guy in a live action film IMO.

Before the Avengers and Thanos ...., I'd agree ...
But for Efforts of not seeming like it's an Avenger Rip-Off Flick to Audiences that don't know better .... I'd say at this Point you gotta roll with the Legion of Doom Themed Hunting and Killing Heros Idea That could Bring the Team together with very little Back story involved.

The characters in Justice League don't require lead-in solo films going into it like Avengers did (especially Iron Man and Thor). To the average Joe, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are as iconic as it gets. The film need only be good, and the rest will take care of itself.

I've been saying that since this thread started. :duff

Many people dont talk about Snyders Guardiens movie, that was the one with the owls, pretty good.

The thing is they cant play it safe and wait for Man of Steels final box office and dvd sales to come in, they need to greenlight and get the show on the road, otherwise i feel like there gonna rush the project and a movie or this scale needs a massive post & preproduction, 2015 will be here sooner than ya think.

He did that? I guess I never knew that. The lack of slow mo in the trailer didn't scream Synder. Plus, it was a family film right? :lol

Exactly! Apparently SW has been in pre-production for quite some time now (before the sale to Disney) and they've got a director and everything now. Justice League has.... :dunno

The fact is, if they plan on keeping the 2015 release date, its going to be rushed, and things that are rushed never turn out well. If they seriously want to compete with the Avengers, then they need to take this seriously and give it the time and prep it deserves. Avengers did so well because Marvel did it well because they planned on it for a long time. You don't get an A on your essay by slacking off and doing it the night before its due. The kid that took his time and really tried at it is going to get the A. Same principle applies with movies. Only once in a blue moon does the slacker luck out with a surprise hit :lol

How is two years + of development time before it's release, the night before?

It's probably as long as the avengers had from the time they started pre-production on that one film to release. :dunno

They haven't really announced anything yet. Its all been speculation. I mean they announced there were doing a JL film before TDKR even and that never happened. SW at least has a director. And I imagine they're aiming for a summer release and they haven't announce crap yet. They're waaay behind schedule unless they've been VERY hush hush or want to rush this.

They just haven't been giving off the vibes of a successful film here . Marvel dominates the live action films and DC the animated films. :dunno

True story: He literally made that at the same time as Sucker Punch. He'd be on the SP set from about 7am to 10pm and then would work with the Guardians animation teams and voice actors from 10pm to 2 or 3 in the morning. He put in 20-21 hour work days, 6 days a week for about 3 months.

Reminds me of Mrs. Doubtfire having to change her outfit constantly during the same restaurant meal. I wonder if Zack ever got the two mixed up and asked to have the owl flash some panties as it attacked to the horror of the animators.

People need to stop comparing everything to the Avengers and acting as if that's the only good team movie out there. Singer did the Team movie first and then did it best with X2

Darkseid would be great and the best but in the first movie is a big no-no. They have to start to build up Apokolips and Darkseid with a few hints in the first movie and in the second you can start to intuduce them but they shouldn't be the main focus until maybe at the end. And they can finish the story in the part 3 with Darkseid's invasion and defeat. It could work. This is one possibility. Of course this would be only the Darkseid's part of the story. And they are come in to really play in the third movie. Before they can use different villians etc next with the slowly coming Apokolips.

Nah, then people would accuse them of copying Marvel and what they're doing with Thanos. They ought to take him on right off the bat, let him get his *** handed to him after handing them their asses first, then have him return with a vengeance and an army behind him in a later installment.
