That was awesome. :clap
I think pissing off Nick Searcy was my favorite reason. :lol
Art is the best.

Reminds me, I need to get to the range soon anyway.

I actually didn't start the series 'til halfway through Season 3, so I haven't seen all of 1 and 2 yet. Almost through 1 right now. Two or three left.

Apparently, you can win a trip to the Justified set and to go to the gun range with Olyphant. Fairly amusing Olyphant advertisement for it ...

Olyphant is the man. In the history of Tv commercials his Star Wars Justified commercial still ranks as probably my all time favorite advertisement for a TV show.

Heh. Never saw that before ...

There's also a Dirty Harry one ...

Did I miss any?

Big finale tomorrow. Shame to see it go. Though, I was glad to hear Graham Yost mention the possibility of a movie in a recent interview ... though he made clear they haven't written the end, so he doesn't know if Raylan leaves Harlan alive. But, he said they'd talked about movie options provided they decide to let him live.

I've seen a few reviews of the last couple of episodes where people are talking about Raylan going no-holds-barred against Darryl. I think they're wrong. I think he's holding back because that's what he thinks Art would want. Normally, he'd just hunt the dude down, pin him in a corner, force him to draw first, and gun him down at high noon. But, for Art, I think he's trying to do this by the book ... to use legal mechanisms rather than his normal hunt-and-kill technique.

He even told Gutterson he didn't know Art all that well when Gutterson suggested they gather a posse because Art'd do it for them.

It will be back next season.

One of the few shows I'll be crying like a ***** over when the last episode airs. Hope they have some awesome stuff planned for next year.

Fantastic season finale. Boyd finally getting the attention he deserves for all of his actions should make for a great upcoming season.

I've caved, and I'm in the market for a hat. I already wear cowboy boots every day of my life (including with a suit) and drive a big *** diesel pick-up ... so I might as well.

I've found a couple of options ...

The first is a "Stetson Carson", which is an out-of-production Stetson that the Givens hat is based on. 4x beaver fur. Its in Silverbelly, which looks awfully white, but apparently that's how the Justified hat is. I think I'd rather something in tan. Its about $250, and would require me to find a hat band on my own ...

The second is a "Stetson Marshal", which is a newer version of the Carson (once the Carson took off after Justified) which mimics the customized version of the Carson that Givens wears. This is the one they sell on the FX site. I'm not so sure about it. Costs about $130 and is in 4x beaver fur. The reviews look fairly mediocre. The brim looks too big. I like the color better, and it comes with a band, though ...

The third -- and the one I'm leaning toward -- is a customized Justified hat from Jaxonbilt Hats ...

Haven't seen any reviews of this specific one, and I've emailed about the cost. I think a custom hat may take wear and tear better. It is in either 5x or 10x beaver fur (or 50x or 100x), allows for higher quality than the other two ... and it looks great from the pictures.

Anybody have any experience with something like this? I always just bought hats at Cavender's. Never bought a custom one before.

Finally got around to buying one a few weeks ago ...

10299943_10152041039387197_6558313540668744193_n.jpg

Got it from The Hat Store in Houston. Its a customized silverbelly Resistol with a 3.5 in. brim. The brim was trimmed back about a half-inch, and flattened out some. I may flatten it a bit more. Fits well. Comfortable. Been wearing it for several weeks.

I'm still going to buy the fully customized one I mentioned in the OP. But, it takes 8-months to make, so I wanted to get one sooner to make sure the style looks right before I order the better one. Figured it'd give me one to wear in the rain without damaging the more expensive version. Also need to order a better hatband. I'll probably order an extra one when I get the fully customized version. I'm also thinking of getting my black cowboy hat cut and shaped to the same style.

Sam Elliot and Garrett Delahunt join Justified Season 6.

Sam Elliott and Garret Dillahunt are headed to Harlan.

They have joined the cast of FX’s modern cowboy drama “Justified” in recurring roles in its upcoming sixth and final season.

Elliott will play Markham, a former Kentucky gangster who returns from exile in Colorado with a fortune earned growing legal marijuana in the state. He comes back to reclaim his former empire and his one-time love, Katherine Hale (Mary Steenburgen).

Dillahunt’s character, Walker, brings special ops and combat zone experience — along with buried demons and simmering rage — to his work as the head of security for a semi-legal businessman. If five seasons of the critically-acclaimed “Justified” are any indication, it stands to reason that Timothy Olyphant’s Raylan Givens will have some part in unearthing those demons and revealing that rage.

The sixth season of “Justified” premiers in January 2015. The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions.

I finished season 5 over a month ago, but realized I felt like this should be said. This is the oddest show for me, when it comes to "craving" it. Between seasons, I have zero problem waiting. I see the show's back on, I think, "Oh." I wait a month or so to let the episodes build up a little bit, and even then think, "Oh." I just don't have that ravenous desire to jump back into the show. Then, I'll watch the first episode of the season, and think, "Oh."

Then, when the show usually shifts into the next gear for the second episode, I think, "lkhgkljsdfghlkdsfhglkdfsjhglkdhf CAN I WATCH EVERY EPISODE AT ONCE?"

This pattern has happened ever since season 2, but it was on overdrive this season. Despite the fact that I love this show, I don't read a lot about it online, so I don't know the reactions from fans. So this might be stating the obvious (or going against everyone, who knows), but I loved this season. Everything I love about this show was jacked up, and I thought the pacing and storytelling were much more refined and well-balanced this season. There's been a lot of times in the past couple seasons where they'll be referring to someone, and I'll just think "Who?", and will only sort-of understand how everyone relates. But this season, none of that - it had the numerous characters aspect, but a bit more well-honed.

My only slight gripe was I thought the animosity between Raylan and Art could have been a bit better paced.

Shouldn't have gotten me so excited, but I am. :D
Elliot and Delahunt are going to be killer additions. Delahunt really should be in bigger stuff, like Olyphant should.

The teaser trailers are always great, think the Han and Greedo one is still my favorite tho. Hope Olyphant stays busy after the series ends.
