Okay...the Revoltech are keepers. Not remotely screen-accurate proportions, but for an anime-style take on the property, some of the most fun I've had in a while.

No time for proper shoot or pose-off...but:

Interesting everyone uses the word anime to describe them...they are simply not accurate...they are visually appealing, and they are trying to look screen accurate, but not quite.
The poses are definitely anime...the sculpts are even more realistic than hasbros.
The sculpts are actually based upon...er reused from the old vinyl character model kits that came out in the mid 90's and were not particularly anime.
Those were the most faithful representations in 1/6 scale of Star Wars characters at the time, even more accurate than the 1/4 Screamin' vinyl models which were also not anime inspired.... meanwhile hasbro is making their 12" figures for the very first time alongside power of the force 2 figures which were actually more anime looking than anything I remember seeing up til that point!

Interesting...now you mention it, I've seen those old kits. I think down in this scale and with that joint system, they appear more stylized and gestural, so all I can really compare them to is that Star Wars manga from some years back.

At any rate...it works for me. ;)

I don't have Vader, so don't know.
Just making sure there isn't a base.
And if not, you can't do running jumping poses then and it acts like a third leg?

I haven't done anything extreme yet, but yeah, it's an adjustable third leg...no base.

Thanks! Loads more fun alright. Here's the three crouching.

Yeah! Zero regrets on Revo Stormtroopers. I look at it this way; the Hot Toys 1/6 are portraits, the Revoltech 1/12 are sketches. I've had the Bandai kit and the Black Series 6" troopers too, didn't keep any of them; the Revoltech bring the fun.

That Revoltech X-wing doesn't look to scale. Always thought their Cars one was pretty cool.

Despite the scale, I keep hoping that they will soon exhibit the Millennium Falcon

Me too. I've invested in this line as I'm very curious to see how it shakes out. I like the style so far and it's some of my only 1:12 stuff.

I'm mixing with the Black Series and Figuarts. Be interesting to see how they scale up.

Some recent images of 3PO:

Apparently (as in the case of Stormtrooper) they corrected the color of some revol joints that were black in the pictures of the prototype.
