If you got the money, buy the DX05 so you get all the rest of the accessories and cool scenery base that comes with it. You get the golden head and you will also have a body to strip and put the Kato clothing on. I think it's still worth it in my opinion.

Yea. That's pretty much what I'm leaning towards. They're not terribly priced either when you find one actually priced to be sold.

It really depends on how you feel about the head and body. If you plan on using them, I can see picking up the figure, as you also get the hands, pistol, shoes, idol and base. Not really worth the cash it would cost for the figure, but the rest of the items can act as stand-ins until you get the figure completed. Otherwise, I'd recommend picking up the parts you want from DX05 over time, otherwise you will end up with a ton of extra junk.

So I got my Kato jacket today. Beautiful!! Well worth it. I thought it looked a little light in color when I opened the box, but when I got it on Indy it looked perfect. I put my previous Kato jacket on my last crusade Indy wip. Now I need to get a belt and whip set from mfisher to complete the look.

Sure Queromarvel. Board member mfisher makes a brilliant belt, whip and whip holder for these Indys amongst other in scale items. I think I saw him post on his improvements to his belt recently. A quick search in the Indiana Jones forum should lead you to him. You won't be disappointed.
