Harrisburg, Pa. - An employee of a fast food restaurant in suburban Harrisburg is accused of punching a customer during a confrontation over a drive-thru order, according to police.

Lower Paxton Township police said they are looking for the employee, 35-year-old Michael D. White, and plan to charge him with simple assault in the Monday afternoon incident outside the Burger King at 950 East Park Drive.

Police said the customer, a 59-year-old Lancaster man, reported that he placed an order and asked for the prices to be displayed on the drive-thru screen. When the employee refused to show the prices, police say the customer called the employee a derogatory name and drove up to the window.

Police said White removed his headset, exited the store after telling the manager to clock him out, walked up to the vehicle, punched the customer in the side of the head and threw a soda on him, and then left.

The customer sustained swelling and a bruise on the side of his head, according to police.

He must've said something really bad! I like how he had his boss clock him out first. :lol

You know, when I go to a fast food restaurant with one of those screens and they don't use it I get really pissed off.

Yeah I'm guessing it was racial thing given the area. At least the employee remained proffessional. LOL! I think it serves the customer right. :lol I like how he ended the assault with a refreshing beverage. :rock

Well...I was going to dog on the dude for punching an old man. But, even though I DO NOT condone mindless violence, if the old man was running his mouth...it is kind of hard to defend him.

The customer is always right.:lecture

Blech. False.

Being called a name isn't worth the trouble of retaliation. The offender's just stupid for thinking calling someone a derogatory term will solve any problems. I've been called all sorts of names, and it doesn't bother me. If anything, it's just funny.

I once had a roommate snap and call me every gay slur she could think of, then assaulted me with various objects she threw at me - from pens and scissors to a vacuum cleaner. What did I do? Laugh. And there was nothing worse I could've done to throw her off. She was expecting retaliation, and wanted it - so I gave her the exact opposite. It drove her crazy.

Tell that to my mother who was called the c word along with other choice words by a customer a couple of years ago. That _____ should've been sooooooo glad I didn't hear it. I would've gotten jail time.

And I was practically drooling by the time I got there. So disappointed.

McDonald's came through though. Drive-thru was open and they had to make my bacon & cheddar angus fresh. :yess:

When I get an Angus burger, I tell them no cheese or mayo and they look at me funny. :lol
