I had a dream last night that I ate one of those Krispy Kream Double Downs that are between a split in half donut. I immediately threw it up after the first bite.

True story.

Thank you! It's all I've been craving all day. If it was a bit cheaper I'd probably go out for another.

God sent this sandwich from Heaven. This sandwich is pure awesome in the form of chicken, bacon and cheese.

That phrase always reminds me of this now. He who lives in a glass house with a (*&#)(*&_)# turret can pretty much eat all the double downs he wants too!

It's really a crime that this thread has fallen behind 5 pages. :ohbfrank:

Here is a DD update! :D

I have had 2 more since my last post here.

A few weeks back I picked one up at the drive through and the guy warned me that it was fresh out of the fryer. He said that it would be hot for like 20 minutes, so be careful. That was perfect because I had a 10 minute drive to get home.

Let me say that fresh makes all the difference with these (as with everything fried). Have you ever had day old doughnuts compared to fresh doughnuts? Same thing. Not only was the chicken juicy and hot, but the cheese was thoroughly melted. This one also had just the right amount of sauce, and I could actually see the bacon! This was easily the best DD I have had! :drool

I haven't been able to stop thinking about that one, so I went back to KFC today. I asked for a fresh DD "right out of the fryer", and the accomidated me! I said, "If I'm gonna indulge, it might as well be the best it can be!"

Unfortunatly there wasn't quite enough sauce on this one, but on the plus side it seems that they have brought the salt level into a more reasonable range.

In conclusion, next time you get one ask for a special order: Hot and fresh (even if you have to wait longer it's worth it), and extra sauce (it's better to have to much than not enough :lecture , you can always wipe off the excess... yeah right! :lol)

This is a must for all fast foods. At Burger King, you would ask for "off the broiler" and there was actually a button on the register that would indicate to those making the whoppers for it to be FRESH. This is also a must for any fish sandwich.... A BK Fish sandwich would gross most people out, and for good reason since most people don't order them and they just sit all day long. Ever have fish sandwich "off the broiler", it is fricken AMAZING! The funny part is the fish sandwich is not even broiled, its fried:lol

Try this sometime, it absolutely works!

And if their fries aren't fresh, ask for ones WITHOUT salt and they'll fry them right then. Then you can add salt if you want.
