That noggin does look a little big. The clothes look pretty amazing though. I picked one up for the time being since I can always change my mind and cancel later.

Just checked him out in the 360 and...I think he looks fine. The boots have great detail and the outfit looks good. As for the noggin....looks good to me, both the sculpt and the size.

Two things I did notice with the Sideshow pictures.....no "prototype" text on them and I don't think the accessories list is complete....the satchel he is wearing under his outer brown robe is not listed, but is clearly seen in the pics...

Does this mean there's a bit of hope for more accessories? At the very leastm it would be nice to see the rest of his Jedi gear (the items included with every other Jedi figure) included, and extra hands would be welcomed as well.

I think he's going to display just fine with the rest of the Jedi....

I do agree with Sean....I would really like it if Sideshow would include the cast of characters involved in creating these figures for us, from the sculptor to the outfit....this one looks like a Tim Miller to me.

He wasn't listed with them. And we all know how Sideshow likes to list every little thing as an accessory (like the "display base with STAR WARS logo").

The head is massive and would look better on a taller body like Qui Gon, but at $70 I'll be damned if I'm going to try and track down a replacement. I'm just about priced out of the 1/6 game here and I think I'm going to unload my non Jedi/Sith figures. I will not be ordering clones either. I'm pissed at myself for ordering him and I don't know if I will keep him but better safe than sorry.
At this rate, the variety and richness that is the SW universe isn't cost effective.

Since you said that, I took another look at the 360 and he does look pretty damn good there. I passed on Aayla, but I might just hang on to this guy. Prod pics will make the decision for me -- as this figure is all about the sculpt. A heavy-handed paint-job and he gets the boot. But I like what I see now...after swearing off any more PT Jedi.

When it says "robe" does it mean the standard Jedi robe or the "short n' sexy" mini-robe he's wearing in the pics?

I wanted a Mundi and might have picked him up, but not for 70, and not on a buck body. Maybe in the after market...

I was thinking about what Sean said a while back, about how this was just thrown out there kinda quickly. Maybe it IS true that SS had a directive from LFL to make Ki and Aayla to go with Plo and Kit and finish up the "essential" Jedi and maybe, because of Vader and the SDCC surprises, they just wanted to get these 2 out there quick and over with.

Vader and troopers would certainly regenerate some positive excitement for this line (pending prices) so maybe their efforts are in that direction now.

I'm not saying that this kind of thing doesn't happen, because I'm sure it does. But I really get the impression that "LFL made 'em do it" is being overused as an excuse. Sometimes Sideshow actually does make mistakes or does something half-assed, without being forced to do it by some faceless LFL suit. In this case, it seems unlikely to me that LFL would care that much if if or when they put out a minor Jedi.

True. That would be my first guess. But the idea that it was planned long ago to have all these Jedi...and then time went along and interest for many waned...and now they just want to get them off their plate...or list...or whatever approved log they have. Maybe. Just a guess based on what Sean was getting at.

In any event, perhaps this is the end of the Jedi.

Get these guys done, move on to Dooku, Emperor, Vader, Fett, troopers, etc, etc.... you know, STAR WARS!

I ordered it, but I'm not too impressed with myself for having done it either. The proportions are off. Significantly. I'd like to know what the Creative & Design team is smoking so that I can make a point of avoiding it.

The title of the preview article, "Look at that noggin..." makes me feel like they think this is some kind of joke. "You thought the heads were big before, well look at how wrong this one is."
