I think it was the over definition of the features.

Particularly around the eyes is too pronounced looking on the puppet. Nostrils have a bit of a pig nose look going as well and the mouth looks significantly larger in width.

The CGI Yodas look like softer versions of the original puppet.

I agree - the TPM puppet has the wrong shaped head - like it could be another member of Yoda's species, but looks nothing like Yoda.

As for Ki - I went through Dressing a Galaxy and there were no pics of him with anyone else. I guess we'll never know for sure...

Actually that worked for me. What I read into that was that he was pained so much by the elimination of most of the Jedi (which we see its visual toll when he's on Kashyyyk as he grasps his heart) and his harsh isolation on Degobah, is what aged him so much. Like Indy said, "it's not the years, it's the mileage."

Isn't Yoda like 500 years old? I think it is still a disproportionate amount of aging.

Imagine loosing all your loved ones (even the younglings, died don't forget), getting your ass kicked by a far more powerful foe, having every possession and your way of life stripped away and being exiled with nothing but the clothes on your back to the deepest parts of the Amazon jungle to spend the rest of your life with no contact to the outside world. The sheer amount of trauma inflicted on him in such a relatively short amount of time... that elevated amount of stress would've severely aged anyone. I've seen people die of a broken heart from a lot less.

Pssst... It's make-believe, bro.

Lucas screwed up. It's as simple as that. Trying to justify everything he does is simply reaching and actually giving him far too much credit. There are definite discrepancies not only between the PT and OT but within the PT itself. I simply let it slide and enjoy the films for what they are. Lucas appears to have been winging it, for the most part, anyway.

How is it that this "character" gets a high-end collectible figure, and yet there's still no sign of an officially licenced Daniel Craig Bond figure?

Since there have been no officially produced Daniel Craig Bond figures, I'm guessing it's a likeness rights issue or something. There's no way Sideshow (or any other company) would've passed on a sure cash cow like that.

I hear what you are saying, but Yoda looks like he has aged 40%. If he was 500 years old, that's 200 years worth in a space of 20 years.

I saw it in another thread, nothing official. Plus, Bond still has a section on the official Sideshow website, so I hope that means something.

I am sure they will get around to more 1:6 Bond around the same time they start making more 1:6 LOTR.... both lines are "on hiatus".

*Dave sighs as he puts the geek hat on*

Yoda was 900 years old when he died, so in TPM he was 863 years old.

*Dave takes the geek hat off and goes back to pretending he doesn't know far too much about SW*

That means nothing whatsoever other than plausible deniability! :p

Wow. So he aged more like 350-400 years worth in a space of 20 years.
