I had a friend back in the day, who knew all those ridiculous mega combos in Killer Instinkt. I never cared much for that game personally. It always became a contest of who could best memorize the right sequence of buttons to push.

I actually feel that way about most new fighters.

But I just never liked KI - everything about the environments and characters felt ugly or uninspired.

Ha, I don't know what the connection is, but when I saw the KI announcement, my first thought was, "I wonder what a next-gen Clayfighter would be like."

Then I remembered, after removing the nostalgia filter, that Clayfighter kind of sucked.

Clayfighter DOES suck, but I still love it



But make no mistake...it's pretty terrible.

You guys have never played Clayfighter 63 & 1/3 for N64. *shudders*

Anyway, this new KI will probably be catered to the current fighting game enthusiast scene, so I bet the long-arse combos of old will be reduced dramatically.

Me too, IIRC it came with a soundtrack cd as well, I even loved the music too lol
I used to play as werewulf alot as I learned a few killer combos for him.
Glacius, fulgore, and spinal were also my favorite characters.

Not sure if this game is worth buying the system for as KI series never really took off after the first one(huge arcade hit IIRC). KI2 was decent but fell short compared to the 1st one and I am not sure if the series followed thru after that.
It does look great on the new platform, nostalgic game for sure when I was a kid.

I think I probably still have it in my cd box collection.
When I go home, I'll dig it up and see if I still like the music.
