Yeah, unfortunately HT is going to dumb-down their paint with a lot of weathering.

"dumb-down"?.. you mean make it more accurate? at no point in the movie was the armor this pristine. don't get me wrong, it looks very cool. but even when iron man first puts it on, it's not this clean.. and it only gets more scuffed from that point on. so, while you may think it's dumbed down, i think the hot toys version looks more realistic, and weathered paint job just looks higher in quality (to me of course).

Don't get me wrong, I have it on order...but I think it's easier to hide flaws or shipping wear when it's heavily weathered.

the awesome weathering paint job on the prototype is one thing, whether they can keep it on the production figure is another!

It looks great but diecast was the selling point and it should have more of it. Especially for $650.
Damn, I didn't realize it was that much. This looks to be about the same size as HT Hulk, so I was kinda toying with the idea of getting it. Not for that price though... Might as well spend 200 more and get the HT version.

The size isn't the same. Hot toys is 30% larger

The KA is around 16 inches and the hot toys is 22 inches tall.

Ah. My bad. Yeah he is

Can I ask why that's a good thing for you? Is it just display reasons?

Yeah, I suppose that's the main reason. It'd be much easier to have a Hulkbuster that size in a detolf, looming behind a few other Avengers.

I wonder if it'll be cheaper anywhere else. $650 is a little steep, considering HT version is $200 more.

It may be cheaper in some places. I paid much less then 650 for mine.

For me with hulkbuster the size is the integral to the character (this MCU version). I'd rather not have him if he's not the right scale with the other figures. Just spend the money on something else I would. But that's me.

If I had to choose between 650 for the KA and 825 for the HT version I'm taking the HT version hands down.

But the KA version is pretty good. They have been getting better and better. my issue with it is there's just nothing that sets it apart from the ten other HB versions around.

Yeah, I agree with that. I was interested in this when I thought the price might be around $400. Since it would be my only Hulkbuster, for $650 plus shipping it's not worth it. I'd rather dish out a little more and get the HT version, as you said.

The $650 figure is BBTS's price. Thankfully it's sold out. :lol

I looked around and found this site, toysbuddyhk.com. I don't know how reliable they are, but they have a special on the KA HB for $475, which is listed as In Stock.

I typed in my shipping info for ****s and giggles and it would cost me under $550 shipped. It ain't cheap but it's a lot better than $650 not including shipping. I also looked up the SHF Hulkbuster and with shipping, it would cost me about $410.

Hope this helps. :duff

No problem, buddy. :duff Are you asking if anybody's ever bought from them before? I don't believe they're a brick-and-mortar store or online e-tailer. They're apparently a toy community/forum in HK. I can't vouch for them, unfortunately.

Looks like there are a lot of batteries with the KA HB...no single power source; it'll be interesting to see what HT does

Probably the exact same set up as this. Endless supply of batteries.

That looks goooood :gah: Tempted.

It does look good. The KA looks better then the shf, but the shf has better overall articulation. (Arms, legs) all things being equal I'd take the KA over the shf and it's pretty convincing to me. But I'd still take the hot toys over both.
