It's a lot like the Figuarts HB then, huh? In that most, if not all, of the diecast is in the legs, particularly the feet. I'd be surprised if there's any in the torso and arms.

Areas that are plastic: Head, inner and outer chest plate, shoulder armor, hands, rear-toes, battery-cover flaps and ankle/shin guard. Pretty much most of the upper body except the die-cast arm plates. Correct me if i'm wrong~

Pity it doesn't have articulation in the rear "toes" but what it lacks it makes up for -it has extendable ankle stabilizers (in gold). Nonetheless, what a fantastic figure...wonderfully well-balanced with a nice heft.

So he's about 15" then, give or take. It's a great figure, and would have a great shelf presence, but wouldn't match up at all to HT Hulk.....if one were to display that way.

Anybody actually know if any (& what) exterior parts are diecast? I'm not overly concerned about the interior diecast skeleton, since you can see that it does a nice Keanu Reeves impression up there, so it seems bottom heavy, & can balance nicely. I want to know if KA bothered with any exterior diecast at all, or went full plastic with the exterior plates. To my understanding, the SHF has a tiny bit of exterior diecast, so it would be kinda disappointing if KA didn't at least match that.

lol the picture says it all, the die-cast is in the legs, it's used as an anchor to hold the figure down, quite a clever way to use die-cast.

The pic tells me there seems to be a fair amount of diecast in the leg area that helps it do the Matrix. What it doesn't tell me is if the diecast is exclusively interior in the leg area, or if some of the exterior leg armour is diecast as well. Basically, what I wanted to know when I asked if there were any exterior diecast parts (on the whole figure), was:

What diecast parts can I touch?

My question is aimed more at those who might have more chance of knowing, like those who have it in hand right now, or who have played with it at exhibitions or something. With the SHF Hulkbuster, the diecast parts seem to be the parts shown on the right of this picture:

It would have been cool if KA was as public with what diecast parts was in their HB. If the KA has a similar amount of diecast as the Bandai version, then I'm not sure if I would have paid my deposit for it. Although, after seeing 'in hand' pics, & the whole XLIII gimmick at work, I'm kinda happy I did anyway. Plus the pre order price I paid is kinda attractive now, seeing what other places are charging.

I feel I'm going to like each of the HT, KA, & CMC versions of the HB, because they each bring something different for me. HT because it's goes with my 1/6 collection, KA for it's XLIII gimmick, & the CMC because of it's 70%+ (supposedly) diecast figure. Combining all the features I like from the 3, to make a 1/6 diecast Hulkbuster with XLIII gimmick, would have been ridiculously cool. Maybe Hot Toys v2.0 for $2000+ in a few years .....

its not practical that KA hulkbuster got the same diecast percentage
as the bandai one. KA has to take into consideration a whole diecast
mark 43 will be put inside. in order to get perfect balance, the upper
body are plastic mostly, whereas most diecast will be in the lower body.

Nevermind guys

I might cure my own curiousity if I get mine in, & see if any of the leg armour plates themselves (along with any other armour plates on the body) are diecast, or if its' simply plastic armour plates, with hidden diecast inside the legs.

Edit: I'm curious if there are any diecast joints too.

By just touching it, thigh, upper knee cover, rear leg, feet are mostly die cast, hard to tell precisely coz they are many panels combined.

Lower arms also has die cast armor.

It uses larger size batteries on the HB, very easy to put in, no tools required, just it requires many many of them and some of the covers are VERY difficult to open, I have to trim down those locking tab before putting them back....
