If he did MG1+2 then he'd have my attention, MGS1 is fine to me, i still really enjoy playing it.Graphics may not be great but its the nostalgic factor that i enjoy with it.

There's so much that can be covered in a storyline about Solid Snake, Gray Fox, and whatever else in the MG 1 and MG 2 remakes. Personally, those are the games that I'm looking forward to - if, they ever happen.

To #$#% about remakes. Kojima needs to release Metal Gear Pokemon.

Food Network fired her.

So why was Hayter fired?

Man, I'm just learning about that today. I always loved her show. Her sons even visited my college back in 2007 and did a cooking demonstration. They made the best danged cookies and ice-cream I ever tasted in my life :drool.

There hasn't been a legitimate reason about why David Hayter was let go. Kojima made some sorry excuse about wanting to take MGS in a new direction, and Hayter wasn't part of it. He didn't even elaborate on what the heck he was talking about.

Weren't all of us (even Science Friction) bashing the firing of David Hayter a few weeks ago? :lol

I don't like it, don't get me wrong, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I love the games and I'm very excited about MGSV. I started playing MGS with the release of MGS1, so I've invested 15 years in this franchise as well. I just think there is a lot of negativity that isn't warranted. Especially when we're talking about a remake. I think we as a community need to focus more on what video games are all about, playing and having fun. I'm not trying to be mean, I just think there is unrealistic expectations and undeserved negativity. I feel like Kojima is the President of the USA for crying out loud. lol. Why can't we just focus on the positives, look at the glass half full not half empty. Does it always have to be this sucks, this sucks, this sucks? I mean really. I'm not saying you can't be negative, but it's a bit depressing sometimes when you just want to go "Man that trailer was great!" or "I really love this idea of a new MGS 1 game" when so many responses are negative. MGS discussion is a lot of complaining is it not? It was a somewhat tongue in cheek post, and really, isn't it true? :peace

So, you're saying that we should sacrifice the ability to critique for blind optimism, and mulling over how "great" the series is? :dunno

Dedicated fans of anything are always the harshest critics. I would go into a Terminator thread and tell them that they need to lighten up and look at the bright side of the newly announced T5, but I'd probably get my *** handed to me, and rightly so.

I think they should all be made over in sequence of events in the timeline so everyone can finally understand all the ends and outs of metal gear throughly. But I like it, being as tho this game is still my favorite.

:exactly::goodpost::lecture

I practically just said the same thing.

But there's some fans that will love anything they make or release. Look at the RE franchise. RE6 has to be the worst RE game ever made but some fans let RE6 get away with it because its a "fun" game. :dunno

Fanboyism at its greatest.

I used to be a diehard MGS fan and I would put it up against any other franchise, not so much anymore... The market is all about COD bros.

I really don't think we see things from the same perspective. It's not about blind optimism or being a fanboy. I have things I critique. I'm merely saying I find that it's excessive to the point where it's not a balanced criticism. A MGS1 remake isn't even past the discussion stage and already it's most likely not going to be good. I think that's a harsh assumption. Konami certainly isn't Capcom either. They seem to handle their franchises with more care. To each their own though. You can call me a fanboy and I can call you guys pessimists and we'll be even steven. :D

Same with RE, now I honestly don't care about the franchise. I'm surprised MGS hasn't tried to cater to the COD fans. :lol Great way to kill your franchise by saying such that.

I just find it strange how anyone can call themselves a dedicated fan of a series, and then blindly turn an eye to the direction that it's taking. You don't always have to agree and say "Yes! OMG, that is so awesome!". Now, I didn't mention that to poke fun of anyone here. But, this isn't North Korea where we have to agree with everything from a dictator and take it up the arse.

Look at the abomination that Twin Snakes was. How can anyone recover from the brain damage it caused? Sending it to a 3rd party developer will be disastrous yet again.
