I really don't think we see things from the same perspective. It's not about blind optimism or being a fanboy. I have things I critique. I'm merely saying I find that it's excessive to the point where it's not a balanced criticism. A MGS1 remake isn't even past the discussion stage and already it's most likely not going to be good. I think that's a harsh assumption. Konami certainly isn't Capcom either. They seem to handle their franchises with more care. To each their own though. You can call me a fanboy and I can call you guys pessimists and we'll be even steven. :D

Just out of curiosity, have you even played Peace Walker? :dunno

Same with RE, now I honestly don't care about the franchise. I'm surprised MGS hasn't tried to cater to the COD fans. :lol Great way to kill your franchise by saying such that.

I'm done with RE completely :lol

I just find it strange how anyone can call themselves a dedicated fan of a series, and then blindly turn an eye to the direction that it's taking. You don't always have to agree and say "Yes! OMG, that is so awesome!". Now, I didn't mention that to poke fun of anyone here. But, this isn't North Korea where we have to agree with everything and take it up the arse.

A lot of people were all OMG when the MGS5 trailer came out. I've become too much of a pessimist to MGS due to Kojima. After the dust settled I was able to look at it more closely. It's going to be a fun game, but I have no faith in a coherent story anymore as long as Kojima is directing these things.

The MGS remake 2.0 will be another dead in the water project before it's even made. There is no more care put into these games like 10 years ago.

:lol Who knows what's going to happen with the series, and apparently Capcom doesn't know either. Just kill it! Or sell it to Naughty Dog.

They just want to cash in and make money. Their intentions are for evil and greed!

I think Naughty Dog schooled the entire gaming industry on how to make a true gritty and emotionally captivating story. Capcom is filled with a bunch of waterheads.

More and more, a lot of members are catching on to what a turd story that game had. I've noticed it lately.

I'm just saying that because a lot of folks don't really seem to understand where the criticisms are based. Peace Walker completely changed things around with technologically superior AI mechs. So, if MGS 1 is remade, I think it's likely that the design of REX will have to be remade as well to account for a more advanced design.

There are other things as well, but I don't feel like getting into those all over again :lol

:exactly::lecture:goodpost:

No silly gimmicks or lies to sell their game. RE6..... "We're backs to its roots." <__<

TLOU was from the jump going to be a great game. I stayed in the dark about it on purpose so I went into it completely fresh. I was supremely surprised on how ******* amazing it is. Capcom is going to get ****ed in the *** when the Evil Within comes out. I honestly want Capcom to go bankrupt, they have taken a giant dump on all their credibility and honorable franchises.

We've reiterated until we were blue in the face :lol

MGS1 isn't Peace Walker though, lol. I'm not saying everything is good, or there isn't any bad (there is), just that I think the general outlook with anything new MGS is negative. I just think it would be great to finally see Solid Snake return, and with all of the new technology it could be amazing. Besides, maybe a remake would be better served by a 3rd party. Look at what Mercury Steam did for Castlevania.

Have you ever played The Twin Snakes? The idea that Kojima saw the final product, gave it the OK and let it go to the presses is stunning to me and it's 10 years old at this point. It's THE worst remake I've ever played. Play Resident Evil on GC, THAT'S a remake.

yea thats what kojima has become starting to think he just got lucky with mgs1

I had it for a time but didn't get time to really play it much. I don't think it's as bad as people make it, but I also realize it was as good as the original. I enjoyed MGS1-4, I think MSGV looks great. Will it be perfect? No, Hayter isn't Snake, but I'm not hung up about it at this point. I just want to play the game and see what it's like before I judge it. Same with a new MGS1 remake.

But Mercury's Castlevania wasn't good lol. It was a rip-off of every action game. But that statement has been beat to death before so I won't say anymore.
