Saw alot of this the last few days it was everywhere, actually thought it was advertising a film or something........this kony is a bad man no doubht , just like gadaffi was a bad man.......wonder if the same evil is behind this .....stinks of c.i.a. and an imperialist race against china for the dark heart of africa, nice that they actually thought about trying to get the public on board .....guess they are learning!

I'll say this, the video at minimum is at least effective in bringing the topic to the forefront and beginning conversations about all aspects. The question will be what to do with this awareness, whether it's assisting various parts of Africa that are still dealing with warlords like Kony without the campaign or even highlighting the plight going on in our own country.

What the filmmakers have done is shown that with a snazzy video they can bring awareness to a real serious video, so I expect you'll see a lot of activist groups following suit very soon.

It isn't an awareness issue. Kony was indicted back in 2005 by the International Criminal Court. He has been driven out of Uganda back in 2006, and is estimated to only have 300 or so soldiers left - many of whom are child soldiers, many any military action will result in more child deaths. And 800 US military advisers were sent to assist with the hunt last year.

So what exactly is an awareness campaign going to prove ? The answer is nothing - its all about raising the profile of the filmmaker.
