Found the material Im going to use for the slides today!
This stuff is the perfect thickness, each slide fits amazingly into the slots.
Revised how Im doing the blood on the slides and got the clasp painted.

These slides were all hand cut, so you can tell they are a tad wonky, but for the ones Im offering they will all be cut very cleanly and evenly.

Just wanted to give you guys an update for tonight.

5/8/12 Update!

The slide box halves should be delivered tomorrow! I'm also on the tail-end of finishing the packaging and the rest of the parts for all of the kits. As long as the slide box halves arrive in mint condition, I'll post a few update photos and kits will start going out probably Thursday a.m.

The painted sets I'll start working on right after, and they will probably be going out early next week.

I take as much pride in the packaging as I do the product inside, so I'm anxious to share photos tomorrow night of what everything is going to look like. Stay tuned!

Here are some shots and info about what you will be getting very soon:

- Hand-painted tin box will contain all your kit parts.
Inside lid and bottom of tin have been lined with thin foam material.
- Tin will be sealed inside a forensic evidence bag
- Evidence bag will be shipped in a thick quality mailer
- Kit includes:

- Top Assembly
- Bottom Assembly
- Working/Moving Brass Hinge set
- 46 Painted Slides
- 24 Extra painted Slides (I included the the extra slides in the event of blade slippage, ie. a couple being a fraction too large/small.
- 3 Inner Lid Labels (2 extra just in case)
- Printed inserts with tips on assembling your kit.

As I start packing these out, I will post updates on whos went out what dates, so stay tuned!

Wow, holy crap. This thing just jumped up a couple notches.

Not that it was down on the list or anything. . . but wow, it actually turned into a collectible.

Are you a graphic artist when you're not playing with toys?? Where'd you come up with the evidence bags?? They look pretty. . . um, gulp . . .real. . . ???

Close but I sourced a half case of blank, silver tins. Altoids packages have the name embossed on the lid.
