Views on law fine, enforcement agencies take care of items inside the home that is none of my business. When it goes outside that I claim is my business a person may argue about.

BTW no way do I condone any behaviors listed just over exaggeration to make a point. Well kids in cages may have some appeal

Just sayin, perhaps revisiting a history book is in order. The 55 (or 56) MEN of 1776 who you speak were of PRIVILEGE and would be classified as CAUCASIAN dictated the laws that govern the colonies. Privileged, white, males decided the fate for the under privileged, women, children and minorities of the colonies. People didn't decide a group of privileged representatives did often discarding rights for the later of the group.

That's a poor excuse for seeking power over other people.

And all of that radical social theory/communist pap is a load of ____. Always has been, always will be. You just never understood the concept of supporting yourself, and figured you could blame it on sexists and racists. You're wrong. No one owes women and minorities anything except for what I am asking for: leave me alone to work and collect what I earn.

People were told back then (even those without a voice) what was expectable behavior and what wasn't. Exactly same condition you protest in your ongoing rants? The foundation is similar today the haves deciding laws for have nots except at least women and minorities have a voice. Perhaps I enjoy big brother, am part of a larger conspiracy theory or simply accept the good and bad with the system and move on.

Perhaps you simply don't give a damn. The system serves your needs, and it doesn't matter whose expense your satisfaction comes by. You expect your demands to be catered to, and to hell with any moral considerations.

Finding the discussion boring as everything circles back to a dislike over being told what to do (conforming). The way it is and always has been. The only way to influence change is do something about it, ranting on these boards won't change a thing.

I am doing something about it. You go through your day thinking that because you accept it all, you are innocent. You are the problem, and I am here to tell you that when this country collapses into financial ruin, anarchy, and gangland civil war, it won't be the fault of the corrupt and powerful. It will be your fault---they were only doing what you asked them to.

In the simplest possible terms, I have one social obligation, and that is to not violate the rights of anyone else.

Smoking pot does not constitute a violation of rights. You can't prove that it leads to such, and there is ample evidence to the contrary.

I think the problem here has more to do with people who oppose it not understanding the concept of rights. Either it's an excuse for degenerates to commit crimes, or it's some elaborate ruse for the people they're jealous of to control them.

It is neither. Individual rights are the legal recognition that each individual possesses absolute ownership of their own life, and that no one has the right to force obedience to their will. Disrespect for this concept is the essence of criminal behavior. It has been the cause of all of history's injustices. If I don't have a right to my life, then anyone with enough physical force is free to do whatever they want to me. That is not the attitude of a good citizen. That is the attitude of a slaveowner, a dictator, or a base, low-browed, knuckledragging thug.

I'm not a slave, and you're not my master. Get over it.
