Ghidorah mixed with a gargoyle.
I remember seeing a DVD for queen king back in the day. Looks like she climbed Big Ben lol.
Ghidorah mixed with a gargoyle.
New full on look of the king himself.
It will be very difficult to take any previous Godzilla design serious after this movie.
I am always critical about everythingMy point was that this new Godzilla movie will make us not be so critical of the older ones anymore.
G89 is my dream-come-true.we all can relax now on the older movies, our dreams have come true.
except for Biojex, he's still waiting on his cgi Hedorah.
- The 1954 stuff will start the film, it's a pre-credits sequence.
- G's first full appearance is in Hawaii with the tidal wave scene. ...
- The run-down location is the Janjira power-plant, 15 years after the incident. Joe and Ford are looking for clues about what happened. Joe will declare there should be lethal dose of radiation around (which is what the government tells to people, I'm assuming, a'la Close Encounters) but "there is nothing." That's why they don't wear respirators, despite the protective clothing.
- Gareth confirms the MUTOs aren't classic Toho monsters.
- Part of the giant skeleton is a practical set - there's a 25 feet tall ribcage.
"…after a pre-title sequence set in 1954, the story will move to 1999 and deal with a mysterious disaster at a fictional Japanese nuclear power plant named Janjira, which causes the evacuation of a district in Tokyo and impacts on the family of Janjira-based American physicist Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston)". The film will then move to fifteen years later.
Gareth Edwards on the Mutos: “We went for a combo of all our favourite monsters from every movie. Part-shark, part-Alien Queen, part-Starship Troopers, part gorilla… They’re kind of an amalgam”.
Legendary was given the same set of stipulations by Toho that Tristar were given (and ignored) in 1998, and they’ve honoured them.
Edwards also really demonstrates a thorough and true understanding of the original film (as if we didn’t already know that). There’s also a pretty funny little sub-interview with Roland Emmerich where he basically admits he knows his film is ****. I’ll upload some pictures later (I’ve no scanner, unfortunately).
It'll happen. Just you wait!
I pity the people who will have to find reference textures for cgi Hedorah

Just researched it, it was a low budget comedy film...
