Darn it! I missed it. How'd it go?

For those without FB, I excluded some of the non-benficial ones. Enjoy some that he answered.

Person: Are we expecting any of Akira i***ube music themes in the new film?

GE: Alexandre Desplat has done a genius score, very much in the same tone of Akira. As fans of his work, I think you'll be very happy.

Person: What's the hardest or most challenging part of doing another Godzilla movie and what is your inspiration for doing so?

GE: The hardest part is finding a story that really pulls you in emotionally as well as delivering the epic spectacle we all expect/deserve.

Person: How do you feel about cross over with Pacific Rim?

GE: But who would direct it? I think the first fight would have to be between me and Guillermo (He would kick my ***).

Person: Which "Godzilla vs" movie is your favorite?

GE: The Smog Monster (I know, I know, right?). But Mr. Banno, the director of this movie, became a good friend during the making of Godzilla. He was also the assistant director to Akira Kurosawa and had a million fantastic stories to tell.

Person: How much motion capture did Andy Serkis do for Godzilla? How much of Godzilla's atomic breath will we see in the film?

GE: Andy was a consultant on the movie. It was a dream to work with him.

Person: Mr. Edwards, how did it feel to resurrect one of cinemas most famous monsters? And do you think you'll continue to make more movies after this?

GE: It was a dream come true, whether I make any more films after this will probably depend on how many of you go see it at the cinema... so go see it!!!!!

Person: Will there be any appearances or clues to some familiar characters (monsters) from the Toho roster?

GE: The creatures are original to this film but very much inspired by Toho (there are some Easter eggs for fans).

Person: What monster besides Godzilla would you most want to work with?? Either in a Godzilla sequel or own movie??

GE: I'd like to see Godzilla fight the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters because after he destroys him, it would be toasted marshmallows for everyone.

Person: Have you already started gathering ideas for a sequel? How many Godzilla films would you like to do?

GE: I feel like I'm about to give birth, so the last thing I want to do is get back into bed, but I'm sure once I see the child, I'll be racing to have another.

These are reviews of specific scenes of the actual film or both?

Im not reading them. I know enough about it as it is Im hoping for some aspect of shock value to still hit me on May 16th.

Last night's screening was of a single scene, Godzilla's first full appearance.

my bdays in march:(

Okay...well happy birthday...but damn it! :lol

Avert thine eyes!

:yess: more proof that GE is the man for the job

Soon my dream of a new movie featuring an awesome cgi Hedorah will come true! The sequel will be the tdk of the franchise and Hedorah it's Joker :panic: :lol

I excluded some of the non-benficial ones.

Q: How do you feel about cross over with Pacific Rim?
:lol I'm sorry but retarded question about pointless crossover has no value.

Q: Are we expecting any of Akira I***ube music themes in the new film?
A: Alexandre Desplat has done a genius score, very much in the same tone of Akira. As fans of his work, I think you'll be very happy.
I guess he either couldn't answer or just didn't get the Q... Very odd.
And Desplat? His scores are good... as long as you don't notice them. Very bland and forgettable.

Q: Which "Godzilla vs" movie is your favorite?
A: The Smog Monster (I know, I know, right?). But Mr. Banno, the director of this movie, became a good friend during the making of Godzilla. He was also the assistant director to Akira Kurosawa and had a million fantastic stories to tell.
Wow, so biased...

Q: How much motion capture did Andy Serkis do for Godzilla? How much of Godzilla's atomic breath will we see in the film?
A: Andy was a consultant on the movie. It was a dream to work with him.
Ah, now the fact that he completely ignores some Qs is obvious.

Q: What monster besides Godzilla would you most want to work with?? Either in a Godzilla sequel or own movie??
A: I'd like to see Godzilla fight the Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters because after he destroys him, it would be toasted marshmallows for everyone.
Ha... ha... HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...

But not those RavenEye posted.
Most likely cuz the marketing campaign of this movie is so modern they can't reveal **** to build the hype :lol

I just hope that both I***ube's theme and atomic ray are there. A LOT.

P.S. **** this retarded overcensoring, You-Know-Who

The director definitely ignored the question about the atomic breath but yet the toy leaks remind me of the 90's films. Perhaps we won't see the breath until the film's climax?

Yeah I bet we only see it once or twice which is cool. It needs to be a big deal.

But if he dies, it won't be for long. They're already implying sequels if the film does well. :dunno

However, I have a hunch it will end like the way Japanese films have done... Godzilla is apparently gone and then suddenly, we get a glimpse where he isn't. For example, Godzilla vs King Ghidorah 91... G is dropped into the ocean and is apparently dead but rises up as the credits roll or like Biollante where he drops over and later gets up to wade into the water. At least, I'm hoping for some sort of ending like that. I want sequels!

Thats what I was initially thinking too but if Edwards is right about Kleenex to me that'll only be if Godzilla has some very emotional departure from this film. Godzilla vs Biollante or King Ghidorah didnt have that. Gojira and Godzilla vs Destroyah did, however.

I know we have seen script leaks that contradict that though. But, in a film that already is rumored to set up a universe where there can be multiple Godzilla creatures--anything can happen.
