sorry, but I don't quite get this, pacific rim wasn't dark in tone or visual style, but the photo does look like the Gipsy danger and Knife head battle at sea, which is a good thing, that's an awesome scene, it even has the little boat.

PR = good to great designs all unfortunately blocked by darkness or water.

agree to disagree, I feel pacific rim had some of the more coherent action scenes in recent memory and I'm hoping godzilla follows suit. It seems like the san francisco battle will take place in the rain, heroes always fight in the rain.

I honestly havent had the urge to watch pacific rim more than once. When it's slow its excruciating. Hope Godzilla is twice as good as PR or I'll be disappointed.

I like Pacific Rim a lot, but the last battle wasn't nearly as good as the middle one.

This has quite a bit at night so it's not quite avoiding the same things that Pacific Rim was criticized for.

This looks miles better than pr. The acting, the monsters , the tone , everything. Pr had horrible human characters that were cliche except for Ron pearlman a character, the underwater battle was boring,and the movie tended to drag.
