So...

this scene will be near the end of the film right? Will this be his first full reveal?

No, his first reveal is at an airport in Hawaii. He lives in Japan, he chases the other monsters to Hawaii where we first see him, then he chase them to San Francisco where this scene takes place.

I have some 1080p galleries up.

Why does he chase the other monsters across the Pacific?

Well, they're creatures from his time period, they're a natural enemy and he's drawn out of the ocean when they start running around causing chaos and he seeks them out to hunt them and kill them. They feed off radiation and seek it out. One hatches in Japan and stops off at Hawaii while another comes from Nevada and they both head to San Francisco to mate and Godzilla follows.

Does he lose spines or are some of those pics is pre-mutated form? That looks strange!

well I'm not sure if anyone has actually said what it is but the rumor is that the spikes expand when he's readying for battle and they are small when he's neutral, kind of like how animals hair stands up when they are trying to scare something.

What? That's so lame!

His spines should be bones protruding out of his skin from the mutation not a damn defense mechanism to intimidate predators. I hope that's so wrong.

It doesn't really bother me, I think it would look cool in the film if true, otherwise I'd just like to leave the spines large, the pic above looks pretty nice with the spines, I'm not sure if there's any shots from the trailers that show his spines, the only thing we've seen are poster shots, who knows if those are accurate, seems like every picture we see of him he looks different.
