Destoroyah is a better film. Has a nifty Aliens homage :lol

Biollante is a little slow. But still good

Get the D!

I got to say Biollante is the last great Godzilla film. Take away the sentimental feeling of Godzilla vs Destroyah and I think it's a boring movie to be honest aside from the very beginning and the final monster battle. Godzilla vs Biollante had a more interesting story and entertaining characters. Better build up of the monsters.

:gah: :gah:

****ing Godzilla movies. :lol

Exactly.

The concept behind Destroyer is terribly lame and, if you think about it for a minute, kinda insulting.
Half the time visuals and editing were very-very poor.

Biollante stayed true to the original yet managed to incorporate modern elements and be highly entertaining.
There's nothing wrong with it, NOTHING! :lol

Then there's also this. Biollante is on bluray while destoroyah is coming soon. But I think it's a two for one movie (includes Megaguirus) so the already half assed transfer will be even more half assed :lol

Biollante seemed to have an ok transfer. Honestly though, these Godzilla lovies don't seem to benefit from the bluray treatment. Except the criterion collection of the original.

I always liked GvsB. I love the look of Godzilla in GvsD but GvsB is the better movie.

Not reading any reviews but that hyperlink sounds pretty negative lol

Crap, you mean it won't take full advantage of my 4K TV. :lol

:lol

Nah, most reviews say human drama ok, not horrible but not great.

ATJ is wooden.

Godzilla is not wooden.

WIN in my book. :lol

That's consistent with what I've been hearing. Was hoping for a grand slam with that cast though.

Where did you find that pic?
I love it!! :rock!

Again, I can't tell if this is real or not but holy crap I hope it is he looks badass there. I want a poster of this movie I just don't know if I want to pick the Empire cover (the regular version) or the IMAX one. I'll get the IMAX one regardless but I think I want a big one of the Empire cover. The ones at Spencers suck.

It's from NY Daily News and base on the review quote below, pretty sure it's legit from the movie.

"There are some images during that final stretch of the film that any fan of Godzilla will be amazed by, images that feel like they were pulled out of the collective dreams of all of us who have been fans of the big guy over the past 60 years."

Cranston: great to over acting great

Watanabe: great

Olsen: good but nothing to do

ATJ: might as well been Riddick :lol

Tonal shift seems to be the main complaint, not so much a problem with the actual cast.

I'm guessing there must be a thematic switch from Cranston to ATJ that doesn't play so well. :lol

Watanabe probably remains as the constant and Olsen does dishes and laundry I think.

G vs Destoroyah or Biollante, which is better?

I like Godzilla vs. Destroyah better. I was able to see it on the big screen a couple years back and it was pretty impressive.

The new blu-rays came out this past Tuesday. The Godzilla vs. Destroyah/Godzilla vs. Megaguirus two-pack is available now.
