Hey Jye!
Did you go see the new Godzilla again??

Did your feelings of disappointment come after those viewings?? Or is it just reflecting back on the film?

So, as much as I loved that kill-shot at the end, should radioactive breath actually killed a giant monster that feeds on radiation in the first place? Or maybe it was the sheer force?

Oh don't mind me, that's just the way I am.

I love all movies the first day then the second day I hate them. :lol

I kid I kid. :lol

Saw it 3 x, my son enjoyed the monster parts but was really bored during all the talking, minus Cranston. :lol

Its still a decent movie, just not the movie from the trailer, not the one I think we all really wanted to see in our hearts.

Godzilla screen time had NOTHING to do with it!

Although some of the cuts away from fights did bug me.

Part of me believes they didn't go the military vs Godzilla route because it was just a distraction for him, and they didn't make Godzilla a force of destruction because the Mutos were going to destroy humanity

But i'm still enjoying more the Godzilla from the Japanese movies, regardless of bad effects.

I was hoping this new movie would be the END ALL of Godzilla movies, the one I would watch above all others for my Godzilla fix.

Nope.

I thought the same thing. :lol

Then I remembered the first blast that hit her on the outside did nothing to her other than push her back.

I guess shooting it inside tore her head off from the sheer force plus he was also pulling.

Exactly what I was hoping for :(

Oh Well...

Of course I think Toho is going to start back up again so we may still get that or perhaps the sequel to this one :)

Yeah, the box office success is a great thing because I still believe in Gareth Dent.

This new beginning is in capable hands, hopefully by the next movie Godzilla hates everyone!

You definately won't see me categorize this as a "bad" movie.

There are still some great moments in there no doubt.

I don't think bad guy Godzilla will do well at the BO. People generally don't root for the bad guys.

Had to be. I thought he was going to straight up rip her mouth apart

Aaron Taylor Johnson was insanely dull in this movie. Made all his scenes lack emotion and seem very wooden.

Even the CGI monsters had more emotion and facial expressions than he did in this movie.

Thats the general consensus. Monsters are the ****. ATJ is just ****.

My impersonation of ATJ expression from the entire movie:

Every trailer and TV spot gives everyone the impression that Godzilla is the bad guy though. I went into the cinema thinking I was about to watch Godzilla destroy humanity.

I didn't think that would be the case. I figured you'd get a bit of Godzilla and Human stuff but that he had something he was going to fight. Of course just before I saw it this was confirmed.
