Well, the movie was alright, for the scenes we got to see. The wife and I decided to go to the drive-in since you get a good deal seeing two movies for a good price. We don't often go to movies since we have a nice system at home.

The first movie showing was Godzilla and there were a bunch, a bunch of dark scenes..We had no clue what was happening on screen. At points my wife and I both would say, well we hope that was not of importance..lol..After the movie was over my wife had to take a piss and most of the woman in the bathroom were apparently talking about the same thing, not being able to see a bunch of the movie. People in the concessions were talking about it too saying how they were going to have to rent it to figure out what was going on..lol

The amazing spiderman had no viewing issues though for the second film.

For me its not about saving money, Godzilla is meant to be seen on an Imax screen, not some out door crappy screen with no surround sound. :lol

My first viewing experience of any movie that i've been anticipating for years will not be at a Drive In. :lol

Btw, I also have an awesome home theater.

See, all you got out of that experience was a dark movie and women complaining about it while peeing. :lol

I'd love to see more IMAX films but I hate 3D. Most of the post converted 3d sucks and the glasses make everything too dark.

Hollywood would be surprised at how well 2D IMAX would perform of a major release but it's been years since they've tried.

I agree for the most part, but the trade off is ok for me.

Little extra cost for the 3D gimmick was an ok trade off for seeing Godzilla fighting Mutos on a giant screen for the 1st viewing.

But yes we need Imax 2D, like TDKR, too make a return.

Tried to take my wife to CA:Winter Soldier in IMAX 3D. The whole scene on the boat was dark and the 3d was difficult to focus whenever there was quick movement. She was getting a headache by the time Cap was doing laps around Falcon. This was an newer AMC theater which is supposedly a decent setup for hardware so I can't blame the projector.

We talked the manager into letting us trade down to a 2D showing and she refunded the diff.

I couldn't agree more about the buildup in '98. Great stuff there.

If you could magically replace GINO with G14, lose the crap hiding, burrowing, pregnant lizard plot and keep all of the invulnerability and power of G14, I think that would've made the better movie.

I'd see every major release if I had the option of glorious imax 2D.

I hate 3D it's like watching a film with vaseline smeared on your eyes :lol. I save that for dirty films...

Fair enough, 3D doesn't actually bother me.

But, if I had a choice, all movies would be filmed in 70mm 2D.

Nolan has the right idea, shame TDKR sucked ass. :lol

PJ can go scratch with that 48 crap.

Man, there would be alot of ducking. :lol

Dudes would be ducking out of the way and chicks in the audience would all be reaching up into the air and rubbing their faces. :lol

Well, at least in my distorted world view of things. :lol
