I hate those spines. He looks like hes going through adolescence. Not visually striking on a shelf. Im going to sit this one out. Maybe just get the figurearts.

Thats got to be pretty spot on to the design. A two foot tall figure and he looks like baby godzilla.

While it's definitely a good idea of what he looks like, I can tell just from trailer stills that the spines on this toy are much smaller than in the movie, and they're almost generic as they don't match specific looks, and I think his neck's a bit too upright as the profile shot in the trailer shows more curve to his profile. This will help a lot with my art though.

Yeah the spines are too small but that's not bad for a Jakks giant. If it looks this decent in person I'll have to have one just to satisfy the lifelong want to own a jumbo Godzilla figure. :D

I wish the spines were like the poster. On the poster the spines and tail look excellent. Powerful. But even in the trailer he has those generic spikes.like the Godzilla cartoon in the 70s

It's possible those spines aren't correct to the actual movie version, if they fanned out then they couldn't cast the toy very easily, from that toy design they can easily pull it out of a mold. Otherwise each spine would have to be a separate piece.

Which poster are you referring to?

Which poster are you referring to?

The one that they gave you. He has the maple leafish spines. They look more like Godzilla.

The ones on the toy look like the movie. In the trailer they look larger...a bit larger...but they look like 98...generic spikes.

This is the best look at the spines from the trailer, not the classic maple leaf look but I feel like their random designs capture the feel of the '54 suit spikes.

This poster is misleading, at quick glance, it looks like maple leaf spikes but what's happening is you can see the outter row as separate from the middle row so it looks like one spike but it's two.

Looking at the teaser trailer still, Mondo looks to have left out a drw spikes for the art but their poster is pretty spot on to their size and design.

For a toy its not bad and gives us an even better look at what we're going to see on the big screen. I think Edwards and Co. may have given us one helluva beast!
